My husband is really allergic to cats but we really like Manx breed and would like to have one. Are they any less allergenic that a regular cat?

Not usually, they still have fur, and dander, just not a tail.... It can also vary from cat to cat within a breed, and from person to person how allergic they are to a particular cat. (I have a Persian that is fine with my fiance's little brother who is usually very allergic to cats, but my best friends husband still reacts horribly with him....) If you like the breed, try to meet some, and see if there are any individual cats your husband doesn't react as badly to.

It depends on if your husband is allergic to cat hair or cat dander. Hairless breeds work for people allergic to cat hair, although if it's the dander he's allergic to, all cats have that.

like Bob said...depends if he's allergic to cat hair or cat dander. if he's allergic to cat hair...try the hairless ones...or even my favorite...the ragdoll cat...the Ragdoll cat has got very minimal shedding..and is one of the sweetest breeds out there
