These species are great for a less aggressive Malawi tank, which is nice because there's less juggling and losses to achieve a workable tank.

Lab. Caeruleus (electric yellow, yellow lab)
P. Saulosi
I. Sprengerae (rusty)
P. Acei
Aulonocara sp. (peacocks)
C. Afra

Less species in larger groups make for the nicest Malawi tanks, especially with grouping types like Acei and Caeruleus. Museum tanks with one of everything are not nearly as attractive and are tougher to achieve a healthy aggression balance in. My current 75 gallon 'African' tank is now 8 Caeruleus, 8 Acei, and 6 Multipunctatus cats. I don't need more 'variety' because it's so nice the way it is and the fish really contrast each other nicely.

There are certain fish like Lombardoi (kenyi) and Crabro, Auratus, and Labeotropheus species that you should take care with - they are very aggressive and will often end up causing nothing but trouble. With these fish it's very important to avoid keeping them with mild types like those I mentioned above, and to make sure you stock appropriate numbers of all the fish involved. If you are new to the whole Malawi cichlid idea, you may want to avoid them altogether.

For a more aggressive type setup consider fish like Estherae, M. Johanni, P. Socolofi, P. Elongatus, and those types, that way you tend to get feisty aggression but not overly so.

You also have the option of going with more of a Haplichromine tank, in which case you can choose fish like Fryeri, Taiwan reef, Red empress, and Aulonocara, but avoid large predatory types like Venustus and Compressiceps, which will be overbearing for the tank. Usually it's best not to mix Haps with Mbuna, but mild types of mbuna like Lab. Caeruleus can go with either.

Synodontis Multipunctatus or Petricola catfish make great additions to any Malawi tank, even though they are from Tanganyika.

If you are not familiar with things like 'mbuna', 'haplochromines', malawi' and 'tanganyika', then I would certainly recommend doing much more research before jumping into this.

It prevalent;ly relies upon on what sort you purchased. yet frequently those you spot at puppy shops strengthen to approximately 5-7 inches. and additionally the filter out you purchased develop into deffintely a great infestment reason it quite is going to shop your water purifier seeing it quite is ment for a bigger tank. And your fish could be high-quality interior the seventy 5 gallon. yet i might recomend getting a one hundred gallons or greater. in view which you have cichlids breeding on your tank.
