1) How many years have you been raising or breeding fish.

2) What are some of the golden rules when cleaning out a tank? I know the first rule is no SOAP, but what else.

3) When setting up a tank for the first time? How long should you run the tank, before introducing fish? Should all tanks be run for the same amount time? Ex: 10 to 55 gal be run for 1-7
days
4) How often should one feed fry? How often should adults be fed? What type of food does one feed to livebreeders?
What type of food does egg layers consume?

5) What temperture range should one have for the livebreeders? Egg layers?

6) Should a 55 gallon tank be completely torn down for a yearly cleaning after the fish have been transfer to another tank?

Note: I have guppies now for two years and I have struggle with some of the same problems everyone else has had.

seriuosly my hamy is amazing! she managed to escape out of its cage and climb over a two metre piece of plastic to get out! nyway dat aint my problem! im scared that while i was asleep it was roaming round my bedroom n eating all kindsof things! i have founds holes n chew marks all over my room it has eat plastic wood everything could she be ill? thanks in advance p.s she is eating and drinking fine!

He always sneaks to the litter box and gets it. We have tried a security gate but he jumps it. And when I take him for walks outside, if he finds it he tries to eat it. I have to watch him constantly, it's a real drag. I feed him Royal Canon food, one of the best, chicken, turkey and rice and I give him treats too. But he still wants to eat poop. Why?

Is anyone else annoyed that people are cross breeding dogs and giving them cute little made up names and selling them for hundreds of dollars when the same dog can be rescued from the pound or resuce groups? It makes me mad that people are intentionally breeding these "designer" dogs when so many die in shelters every day.

Hello i was thinking of getting a Terrapin turtle so any infomation any one can give to the below questions would be very great full.
*Do they need a coldwater setup or worm?
*What do they eat?
*How big are they?
*How long do they live?
*What should be in their tank?

I have two cats that I got back in October. They are both females, around one, and both spayed. The one thinks it is a dog and plays fetch and it not cat-like at all. She used to just sit and wait outside of my and my fiance's room when she heard the alarm go off. Now, she starts scratching at the door before the alarm. She started at 6:30 this morning. I thought if I ignored her she would stop- 15 minutes later she was still doing it. So I got up gave her some food and went back to bed. After that she did it again until one of us got up for good. How can I make her stop this?

We adopted a border collie from a shelter and she only has a little nub of a tail. We have no history on her to know if it was bobbed, and no experience with them--she's our first. Are they normally born with or without tails? It doesn't matter, she's adorably cute as is, I'm just curious as to whether any breed is born that way. Thank you.

My cat recently, right around thanksgiving, began to breathe heavier then normal. she's still eating, using her littler box and has the same personality she did before. But she gets out of breath much easier and while just sitting she breathes very heavy. We're planning on taking her to the vets this week, but I'm really nervous it's heart failure, but wouldn't she have stopped eating and all of that?
Please help. I've had my cat my whole life....

My tank is a 30 gallon long (30.6L x 12.5W x 18.6W). I just finished my fishless cycle. I'm trying to figure out what I want to stock my tank with, so I came down to gouramis, and whatelse that can go with them... and what other fish can go with the gouramis? Thanks! Oh, and I was going to get a bristlenose pleco for cleaning the tank.

My cat was suffering with arthritis pain for a few months and dropped her weight dramatically. She seems to have turned around after Cosequin and more recently Dasuquin. But then she started pawing her mouth and gagging while she eats and drinks. My vet said her mouth is inflamed on both sides but had a hard time examining her. She said she may have oral cancer but I can't afford the biopsy. Plus, putting her under is very risky. She's 15+ and FIV+. She got an antiinflammatory injection yesterday and has already stopped pawing her mouth. I'm giving her Clavamox for a week. Is this a good sign that it's just an infection? Or is it inconclusive at this point? She also may have HyperT. I thought maybe it was a bad reaction to the arthritis supplements I've been giving her. But everything I read about them says they have no known side effects. She now has lots of energy and is eating a lot!
