His breeder sounds like he will tell you anything. Next time you talk to the breeder ask them why you have a 6 week old pup. Puppies shouldnt be taken from their mother until they are at least 8 weeks!!! I would go to the vet to have a full exam done on this pup. Make sure it has all its vaccinations and is healthy.

Missy: If you breed Chihuahua's why havent you to, said that he shouldnt have this 6 week old pup.

People, this is getting scary.

First of all puppies should stay with their mother until they are at least 8 weeks old. When you get a new puppy it should be taken to the vet to have a vet check so now might be a good time to do that.

I would not listen to ANY 'breeder" that would sell a pup at 6 weeks. That is a BAD breeder right there.
AND , whenever you get a pup, it should be at the vet within 48 hours anyway.

SO take it to the vet!!!!!!!!!!!!!

puppies eyes are suppose to be clear and bright without discharge... watery eyes are not normal! Most likely her eyelashes are rubbing against her eyes and causing them to water..or like someone else mentioned..she may have allergies

I dont know, but I want a Daschund puppy!!!

I recall seeing many with watery eyes. It dosent sound emergency releated, but I would definitly ask your vet about it at your next regularly scheduled visit.

It's pretty normal, but you should ask about it when you take it to the vet in about 2 weeks for vaccines. Sometimes something else is going on, but it's not uncommon either.

I don't know a lot about that particular breed and their eyes, but you should be taking the puppy in to the vet for his puppy shots very soon anyway, so ask the vet about it when you see him.

It's normal for the puppies, when they get older it will stop. If you take it to a vet, they will say the same thing!

Your dog could have allergies, or there could be some other eye irritant in his environment.
