If you are looking for a picture of an entire foal foetus you won't find one. This is partly because of the size of the foal relative to the image screen of the ultrasound machine. By the time the foal is a foetus (as opposed to embryo) it is impossible to fit the image in one screen. Also, as the images must be made per rectum (except in minatures) it's generally not possible to get the foetus in exactly the correct plane as one can't move the scanner probe sufficiently to do so. Images of the whole conceptus are possible early on but do not resemble a foal to the untrained eye.

Generally concepti are imaged at around 14 days, 24 days and 35 days (for confirmation of pregnancy and looking for twins) but not after this. Most assesment after this point is done manually instead, and if there are problems with the foal you know about it very soon - either the mare becomes ill or she spits the foal out.

the best place that you can look is inside horse books out of any library they are sure to have some pictiures in there, they may not be photographic images but drawn images. you can also look on yahoo.com or google.com.

hope you find what you are looking for.
