It would probably cost a lot especially if there had to be stitches done to the scratches.
I used to have a Feral Kat, He would have scratched my face off, if I tried to get him in a box, or a car or anything to take him to a vet.
Every spring and fall, he would go missing for two weeks (mating) and come back skinny, with huge open scratches, with flaps of skin hanging. As I couldn't physically get him to the vet, I just left him alone and fed him lots to get his weight back, he always healed, he always went back to fighting twice a year with the same result.
So If you can't afford a couple of hundred dollars for a vet, just leave the cat alone.

As an animal owner the cost should be irrelevant my friend! Are you on social security benefits? If you are then the cost of your pets treatment will be covered, or partly covered, because of that. If you're not on benefits then you should ask the vet what the final bill will be but either way mate, your cat has an infection from the bites or scratches its received and needs urgent medical attention, to leave it without that amounts to negligence on your part! He urgently needs an injection of strong anitbiotics then a course of antibiotic tablets to get rid of whatever's making him sick. As a footnote - your cat could die from an infection and how would you feel then? Please put any money worries aside and get him looked at, its not fair on him, he's relying on you to look after him.

Your vet will tell you what the basic costs are--give them a call.
You'll have the exam, our vet charges $35 for that. Any medication would be separate. If the cat needs stitches, they can do that there, but if the cat can heal on his own then it's just the exam fee. If he has an abscess (lump under the skin) they will want to lance it to get the infection out.
Just call them and ask what they charge for basics.

Every vet has a different fee schedule, but right now it doesn't matter. As a responsible pet owner, cost is secondary to getting medical treatment for your pet when he's sick or injured. Get him to a vet ASAP, and if he's an outside cat, keep him inside in the future where he can't get injured or killed.

you do not say how old the kitty is, although curiously like he isn't satisfied. If he's in simple terms a sprint kitten, then he's in simple terms BEING a kitten, and that they are continuously mischevious, and getting into issues. Neutering him will calm him down some, yet they could get him a scratching submit, or a heavy plank to place on the floor, and instruct him that he's to apply the two of those purely. additionally, in the event that they shop a squirt bottle of water attainable, and spray him while he misbehaves, he will learn. i don't think in declawing, the two. i've got self assurance that my furnishings isn't as substantial as a results of fact the cat's paws/first knuckles!! some people positioned "soft Paws" nail caps on their cat's feet, fairly of declawing. in case you will notice, they have an advert for soft Paws in this internet site. verify them out, and notice in the event that they're going to assist you recognize the cost and frequency. good luck.
