No need to go to the vet just get some scissors or pet nail clippers and trim them yourself. Just be careful not to cut too close to the toes.

If you do not want to do it or don't think you can then find a local breeder or pet shop and ask if they would be willing to. Our local pet shop charges £2 per small animal.

Yes, you SHOULD take your hamster to the vet and vet check-ups for hamsters are 5-10 dollars or otherwise free in my area. The vet will trim your hamster's nails for you, don't worry. But DO be careful as your hamster might try to bite or eat the vet if he/she smells like something edible. My hamster eats absolutely EVERYTHING (or at least tries to) and even me so tell the vet if your hamster has a tendency to do these kinds of things.

Yep, I take my hampsters, gerbils and rats to the vets. One of them even had a little operation. The vet will treat them exactly like a cat or dog and will clip their nails and probably do a little check up at the same time.

I wouldn't take it to the vet unless there is a problem. You can clip nails yourself with a small pair of nail snippers if the hamster will let you. Otherwise I wouldn't worry about it.

of course you can take a hamster to a vet, you just have to make sure the vet has a small animal doctor there.
If the nails are long, you can always trim them a little bit

Most vets work with all kinds of animals, so in short yes. You might want to call the vet first just to make sure.

There are vets out there that take small pets and rodents (sometimes referred to as pocket pets)/birds/reptiles and even fish. My vet does. But (and i hope i don;t sound too cruel) for a small cheap pet like a hamster i probably wouldn't bother. If you want to though, you need to call the vets in your area and find one that takes small animals because not all vets do.

Hamsters cost 5 dollars - vet checkup costs 90 dollars. Cut the nails yourself - just a trim - do not make the nails bleed and have styptic on hand just in case they do bleed.

i'm sorry, but your hamster might die soon because that is their life span, but hamsters are just too cheap to take to the vet, i have one i don't think i would every take it to the vet.
