We have a 4 month old great dane puppy... Every time she eats she gets the hiccups. We have her food elevated so she doesnt have to bend to get to it. She chows everything down QUICKLY, is she getting them because shes eating too fast? Is this anything i should be concerned about?

I put the cover on his cage each night between 11-11.30 pm and although he goes on his swing (where he sleeps) he dosent actually sleep until ive gone to bed.

I can hear him cracking his beak and fluffing his feathers, sometimes jumps off the swing, then back on.

He must know im still up and on the computer but i only have a desk lamp on, not the big light, and no music or noise.

We have a cat that is an indoor cat. He is pretty much scared of everything. Problem is when my husband goes in or out of the house he leaves the door open for too long and I always say ''hurry up and close the door or the cat will run out'' he tells me the cat won't because he is afraid. He is very non chalant about how long the door is left open. Our cat is fixed. My husband knows how much the cat means to our son so please don't answer this by saying he wants the cat to get lost. So is he right, the cat wont run out? I think he will, what do you guys think?

Ok, I have a 3.96 gallon tank and i am wanting a lizard to put in it. This is the url to the tank i have

http://www.petco.com/product/12031/Aquatic-Gardens-Deluxe-Plastic-Aquarium-With-Lid.aspx

It is the largest one there and on images is the last model.
I have a little desk lamp and at about 6 inches
away from the light it is about 82-89 degrees. i have also been looking at heat rocks and pads. I don't really want any gekos but i would like a medium/little lizard and i don't mind feeding them live bugs.
Would that work out?what kind of lizards are there to chose from? And how to care for them
Thank you! =D

I have been out of town twice a week apart this month my brother takes care of them while I'm away. They are eating the same food they always eat which is a high quality organic dry food. The eat in the morning and a small amount before bedtime normally. My brother leaves alot of extra food out. Would eating more than normal cause the gas? They've never had problems before when I have been out of town. What do think is causing this, and is there a cure?

Hi,

My partner and I just adopted a AKC registered purebred Finnish Spitz puppy. She is an amazing 5 month old pup named Aydan. I had never thought about showing dogs before she came into our lives, but I am curious. Aydan is really msart, sweet, and we're doing pretty well on obedience and good walking etiquette.

Can people earn money showing their dogs? Or do they spend more than they typically bring in?

What are typical best of breed prizes?

How does it work if you are showing a breed that is pretty rare (like the Finnish Spitz)?

Thanks!
Emily

my husband wants a new puppy--supposedly it comes with it's puppy shots, that's about it.

we live in the city.
what will we need to get for the puppy?
does it need licensed, more shots?
special food?
how much do these things cost???

will it try to hurt my cats?
can it be left outside or do we have to have it in our tiny little house with my 3 grown cats & newborn baby??

We really want to get a doberman puppy, but we have a Jack Russell/Bull terrier mix. Our Jack has a tendency to want to be the alpha and I don't want fights happening forever...

Do you know what it entails and how much it costs when a litter goes wrong?

For example, when the ***** needs a c-section. What do you have to do and how much does it cost? Do you know what you would have to do if she died? Are you willing to loose your dog like this?

How about if the litter is early? Bottle feeding or inserting a feeding tube? How about the several vet visits to examine the puppies to determine if their hearts and lungs are developing properly?

What happens when you havev done everything you can and the puppy (or puppies) die anyway? How about if you have puppies that no one wants because they are sickly? What if a puppy doesn't fit in its new home, are you able to take it back?

Are you willing to accept that your puppies may end up in a pound and be put down? Do you understand the costs involve in avoiding this? Are you willing to pay them?

Do you REALLY understand the costs and are you willing to accept them?

Okay, I'm getting a leo gecko for the first time and I'm a little confused about the wetbox. Do they only need one wetbox? I was under the impression that they needed both their hot and cold hiding spots to be wet. However after reading several posts on yahoo, and online I'm beginning to think I've gotten this confused. If we are only supposed to have one wetbox, should it be in the hot climate? Also what substrate do you recommend. I have asthma and allergies so I need something that won't really pick a smell or start to mold when cleaned properly.

Thank you for your time!
