I am looking to get a small dog but I do not know what breed to get... This is what I need:

1) The breed needs to be small
2) The breed needs to be EXTREMELY FRIENDLY
3) The breed doesn't have to be walked a lot (during the day)
4) The breed is CALM and CUTE
5) The breed can have short brown hair
.......... One that looks like a Yorkie but is NOT A YORKIE

Please send all ideas to me... Every single breed that meets these specifications...

Please also indicate the breed you recommend that meets these specifications...

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

P.S. I like the idea of a dog in the toy family but the dog can be from any family.

My Red Ear Slider is about 6 years old. He seems to be having a bit of shell rot, but that is not the main problem. While I was looking him over, I noticed red spots on hte underside of his shell. It is basically the two pieces right above his neck. Does anyone know what this is???

I have heard so many confilcting things about this, some say goldfish, but others say that they have too much oil or something in them and can kill snakes, to use pinkies instead, but OTHERS say that pinkies don't have the right vitamins and to use powdered crickets instead, what do I feed a garter snake??? (I don't have one yet, but I want one, and I want to feed it right)

I also have christmas/java moss and java fern. I have conflicting topics on whether or not I should use aquarium salt. I'm worried about killing my plants mostly. I know guppies and mollies won't mind. The corys and tetras might be a little sensitive. The question: Will the aquarium salt kill or hurt my christmas/java moss and java fern? Please include resources to back up your facts.

I cleaned out my snakes tank (like his poo poo and stuff) but it still smells SO bad!
I know I cant spray anything in there because it could hurt him
but what if I like squirted lemon juice or put some orange slices in there? Would that help or bother him???

If so, what can I put in there to make it smell better???

before getting your breed(s) of dog, or top 5 things that people should know about your breed(s) of dog.

I'll start:
Pembroke Welsh Corgi
1. They're BIG dogs [with no legs] in small bodies. They've got a huge heart and are bossy as well.
2. They're great family dogs and great with kids.
3. They tend to be energetic, so training them in dog sports is always a good idea.
4. They shed. A LOT.
5. They tend to bark a lot.

Why is it that people have a problem with cockapoos, bichonpoos, goldendoodles etc and insisting they shouldn't be worth anything while believing that so called 'purebreds' are superior? Yes, there are mutts in shelters but there are 'purebreds' in shelters too. In fact, when I go to shelters I see many more purebreds than mutts. So what's the problem? You're being incredibly hypocritical and act as though purebreds are some naturally occuring phenomenon. Hate to break it to you but technically, all so called 'purebreds' are mutts too. Take the Blue Heeler, it was achieved by mixing collie, dalmation, bull terrior and even dingo - yet it's a 'purebred'. How about the German Shepherd? That breed was achieved by mixing various types of Shepherd dogs from different areas. I could go on for days but they're all pretty much mutts! If mix breeding was something that was always frowned upon, the selection of breeds we have today would be VERY limited.

I was using a digital camera to videotape my dog's face, especially him looking up at the camera. But after a few scenes, I forgot to put it on "video" and instead took a picture...Right in his eyes! He kind of shied away from me the rest of the night, the way a dog would shy away from someone who'd hit it. He doesn't seem to be having any eyesight problems, but IDK, unless he went blind I wouldn't be able to tell. So does a bright light flashing in a dogs eyes hurt them?

Please don't lecture me about hurting him or say "Poor little puppy. Youu evil girl.", because I feel guilty enough already.

with blankets, toys, food, etc. Its not a very small area either. The reason is that he kept peeing all over the house and it has gotten pretty bad. Is it ok for me to put him in the kennel during the day and have him sleep in the apartment at night. I just cant stand the stains all over the house anymore. IS it mean or do alot of people raise their dogs like this. I still walk him everyday and play with him. Also is it ok for him to be whining so much. thanks

I got him on Saturday and he hasn't come out of hiding. Is this normal. Should I try to pick him up when he comes out or wait (and how long should I wait?) He is 13 inches but I haven't even seen him yet. Any other tips I should know about this kind of snake?

I just checked the thermometer and it says the temp. is about 82F. Will my fishes be okay? I guess I don't need to buy a heater after all, I think the light is causing the tank to get that warm... but besides the side info... will my tropical community fishes be okay?

i am the proud owner of a juvinille corn snake. He is about 2-3 months old and a great pet. My only concern is he is hanging out all folded up next to his water dish almost all the time. when i first got him (a week ago) he was hiding under a little cave i bought for him because i know they like to hide. The temp on the warm side is about 80 degrees thanks to a reptile bulb located on the outside of his tank and a small heating pad on the underside. why would he opt for a more exposed area next to the water dish? He will hang out there even if i turn the bulb off to cool the warm side as well, so i can't imagine he's too hot. he lives in a 2.5 gallon tank with a fine, crushed walnut shell reptile bedding substrate. i have not yet fed him, but am planning to this week. the store guy said he was eating baby pinkies well. i'm just worried about him. any advice from some snake owners would be great!

Here's the info:
Male
They had their first set of shots, up to date on deworming and first generation cockapoos.
Do you think $400 is a reasonable price? They're red in color, if that makes a difference.
