Does this just mean it's time to get him fixed (that's all I can think of is maybe he's horny? lol) He's so personable and usually follows me around the house and snuggles with me when I sit down, etc. But the meowing seems to be getting worse and I live in an apartment building so I don't want to disturb my neighbors, although they have a nasty yappy chihuahua lol so I think I'm fine in that respect. I don't want to be mean but I was thinking of spraying him with a water bottle when he meows like that. Happened to you?

I treated my dog as usual with Frontline Plus 48hours ago after she had been groomed. Now I have found what seems to be fleas crawling around in her coat. They are brown in colour, very hard to catch, and difficult to kill. If these are fleas (i know they arn't ticks) why are they still bothering my dog after she's been treated? Also, can they be transferred to me?

Well I know male cats that are not neutered can spray in the house but can females do this also? I ask because my friend thinks they can but that doesn't sound right to me... Any information on this would be greatly appreciated :0)

Do his balls get cut off completely, or do they just cut a certain part of his bits?
Are there any websites detailing what happens, with pictures?

Ok here is the deal ladies and gents. . .
I have a 2-3 y/o Lab/Retriever and she is pretty hell bent on being the worlds most picky eater. She will eat dry food until she gets bored but wont touch it after a few days. I tend to mix wet food, gravy train, rice, or what have you that might help.

Basically shes getting pretty spoiled with it all. I have even tried taking what she didnt eat away from her and hoping that she will get hungry enough where she wont be so picky. She's doesnt care, she would rather starve to death then eat! My main concern is this... What can I do that wont exactly spoil her but also wont put too much weight on her.

I rescued her from a shelter and have had her for a year now. Shes healthy, enjoys life and I want the best for her. She hit the 80 lb mark and gets her daily exercise. I fear or risking her for severe hip dysplasia when she gets older due to excess weight gain because of all that junk food.

What can I do ???

I love giving my five month old kitten kisses on his kitty lips. I'm not sure if this is safe (germ-wise), because I hear cats' saliva is rather strong. I was just wondering if any of you cat owners do the same thing, and if so, is it safe? Thanks in advance!

Why do cats smack their lips?
I mean for my cat it's so extreme that you can hear it from across the room!

I dont want my ratties to get their feet hurt by walking on those ridiculous wires, what can I use to cover up the wires on the cage floors? It needs to be sturdy and easily cleanable.

I just recently made my outdoor cat an inside cat. He had been chewed on by a chocolate lab/retriever mix and had open wounds on the back of his neck. It was healing nicely, but he would constantly scratch and groom himself. I took him to the vet after finding a small ringworm on my forearm. That was almost two weeks ago and I have approximately 15 more spots on my legs and arms. He is on an oral medicine to cure the ringworm and pledgets to wipe on the areas. He hasn't been scratching or grooming near as much as he used too and he has brown, flaky, scabs where the ringworm was. Does this mean the ringworm is dead and he's almost over it? I've been using anti-fungal cream and have tried several home remedies and none have seemed to work. He goes to the vet in a week for a check up. I clean the house and disinfect it daily, bathe him twice a week, and wash and disinfect my hands after handling him and after cleaning his litter box. What do you think the both of us should do?

Thanks.

I took her to the vet before, but the next day there were no lumps. I took pictures this time & I want to see one on the "senior" vets this time. Not one just out of vet school. Any other suggestions or does anyone know what this could be?

A friend of mine has a cat that freaks out and pees all over her stuff.

She's tried confinement, positive reinforcement, that "cat calm" aroma therapy thing you plug into the wall, cleaning up the smells with every "odor eater" known to man.

The problem isn't potty training. When he's calm, he uses the box just fine. He's not spraying either. When something scares him, he will run around pouring a urine trail behind him, screaming his fool head off.
There's no predicting his fear/triggers. Really, I've seen this cat go from dead asleep to a crazed peeing monster with no provocation.
He's so freaked out that he's knocked himself unconsious on more than one occasion, and it takes him hours to calm down.

The vet is stumped, made a food recommendation, but no other help.

For Christmas I want to get her a "care package"/basket of other things for her to try. So far, I have kitty diapers, "Urine Gone" cleaner.

What has worked for you?
Recommendations please.

Hey.

I know alot on Rats, I have 7. My problem is one of our Babies, probably half a year maybe. His name is Remy, and he got hurt. I am somewhat alarmed by his wound, but, he does not seem effected by it at all. He is just now in the cage, where it is safe, since the other 6 boys are running around. Yea, I have 7 male Rats. Were planning to get them Neurterd.

So. What do you think about this wound? It is not bleeding or anything. Click link for a pic.

I have a 4 month old puppy that I've had for a month. I'm trying to figure out the way to teach him that I'm the ALPHA. Can me and my husband both be the alpha or is he going to only listen to one of us? I've read so many conflicting things and I've tried a few things I've read but my puppy is either stubborn or I'm probably doing it wrong.

I had my cat neutered last spring, when he was almost a year and a half. I wanted to do it the year before, but my husband thought it was cruel. So when he got an infection and I took him to the vet, I just had her do it while he was there (he had to stay overnight anyway). Anyway, the last week or so, he has suddenly started trying to have sex with my blanket. He bites it and goes through the motions. I know, that's just weird, especially considering there are a lot of female cats outside, where he spends most of his time (we only claim him, but feed about 5 others to keep them out of our trash). He shows no interest in the other cats, so why is he so interested in my blanket? I am 12 weeks pregnant with twins, could it be my hormones? There are no traces of human sex in the bed (sorry if tmi) because my husband is away right now and has been since the day we got pregnant, so I don't think that could have anything to do with it. Is this normal, or is my cat perverted?
