He doesn't have accidents in the house (not since he was a small pup). The kennel has a plastic tray that I clean out, but I'm not sure if he still smells the pee and thinks its okay. I know dogs aren't supposed to want to pee in their kennel, so this is very strange. I have two older dogs who have never had this problem. He is a very well behaved boy, this is very unlike him. Ever since 6 months old he has been able to go an 8-hour shift without going outside without issue. I have tried letting himn out a lunch and now he will even pee after 3 hours. Please help!

I'm getting a male Great Dane next week that is a year and a half old. He is 140 LBS right now (I know he eats a gallon of Purina dog chow a day). I'm interested in hearing how much dog food, you Dane owners go through each month so I can plan ahead. Also, if you own a Dane and have any advice or tips, throw them at me.Thanks!

My cat I've had for about a year has all of a sudden started hissing, growling, and screaming for no apparent reason. My mom had brought a small, unfamiliar kitten into the house for a couple hours, and the cat is always uncomfortable around kittens, so I thought that may have had something to do with it. But the kitten has been gone for more than a day now!
Besides, we have brought other cats into the house before and she's never reacted like this. She'll just sit in the corner making all these noises at no one/nothing. If you go over and try to pet her, she freaks out even worse. All night long she was waking everyone up with her screaming. I have no idea what's going on. We called the vet and no one has called us back. Unfortunately, we can't really afford to take her in...please help!!

Hi, I'm beginning my search for a dog but have no idea what kind I should get. I've never had a dog before so this is all very new to me. I'm hoping some of you out there can advise me on a small dog. I live in an apartment so I'm trying to be realistic. Luckily for the puppy and me I have the ability to bring it to work with me. He can play in the office, so I don't have to worry about leaving him home hours on end!!
That being said here is some of the criteria I want in a dog. Again, I'm new to being a dog owner and I'm trying to pick a breed that's practical for me.

I want:
-a small dog (one that I can transport in a car easily)
- a dog that isn't a yapper. (I know all dogs bark from time to time)
- a dog to cuddle with. I'm home alone alot and I want a buddy:
- a dog who is on the mellow side yet is somewhat active.
Anyone who has any advise on a breed please feel free to comment!

Thank YOU:)

Just curious, I just came across a poster board in my neigbordhood advertising "weagles" for sale. They are part weimaraner and part beagle. I had never heard of this term nor seen a price tag of 2500 dollars before. I have a weim, and am not interested in a new dog nor was I going to purchase I was just curious if anyone has a Weagle or heard of them before?

He is my mothers dog and is around 10 yrs old. He is currently eating Purina Veterinary Diets - DCO.....$40 something a 20lb. bag. First ingredient (with out a doubt) CORN!!!! Now i personally know there is darn good dog food out there and some of it is even cheaper. (IE: Timberwolf, Orijen, Merrick, EVO,) I dont care what brand it is i just need to find my little buddy something better than this prescription corn. Unfortunately i cannot go changing my mothers life, if i could he would eat raw so that is out of the question but i know everyone is going to say that is what i should do.....well, up front NO RAW! if i can find SOMEONE who knows of a dry food that will keep his sugar levels in control. He does take an injection twice a day. Also, canned pumpkin as an added "good fiber" is this beneficial to diabetes? (i know it is beneficial for other dogs but i dont know what it would do for diabetes) if you have any questions ask them...i'll add on

he seems to not be able to see his crickets and he was very quiet as in not moving much or interested in food, i think he's about 9 months old but not sure, we acqured him recently but know nothing about them, he is fed on crickets and i'm told he also needs meal worms, we was told to put sand in his tank but have since read this is not good for them, and i have found newspaper to have worked better for his heat mat. is this ok i would be grateful for any advice and info given, many thanks xx

I was walking him and had stopped by and talked to a neighbor and my dog would not sit next to me he would sit a little back from me andsit in the street and cower.

I think he does that because he is afraid of men. My brother has been mean to him(has kicked him(yelled at him, kicked his crate) I tell him not to but he don't listen.

How can I get my dog Duke not to be scared of men and to know that all men aren't that way and only my brother is?

Thanks!

I just got my 6 month old miniature schnauzer puppy, Daisy, spayed. I was wondering, what can she NOT do? How much should I feed her each day? When can that E-collar ( round, white collar) come off?

In a world where most dogs are pets and no longer do much beyond sit on the couch, why is it important to maintain coat quality (texture, weather resistance etc), temperament (guarded, aloof, friendly etc), structure, working aptitude and ability, color, dentition, size etc???

omg,i posted another question and like everyone answered with dont give him regular milk...well since he wouldnt eat anything....
i did give him regular milk and thats all he would drink so.....was that bad? will it affect him at all?(as you can see this is my first kitten)so should i stop giving him the milk even though thats all he will drink?(cuz he wont eat cat food)also he does not like his cage ,and sleeps on my bed,but he`ll keep me up all night with his moving around and climbing all over me,i want him to like his cage,i mean he has everything in his cage,he has his toys, its carpeted and soft and his food dishes and stuff, litter box,but when i put him in it he crys and jumps aroung trying to climb the walls of it(its a huge cage)so i have a couple problems as you can see.all answers are much appreciated!

For example if a dog wanted to get into a room but it cant and you open the door or if they are trying to retrieve a toy from under a sofa and you get it for them. Are they grateful for it?

My 12 yrs old kitty had mouth surgery a few months ago. He starting having trouble again and had emergency surgery last week. The first day he walked around (drugs helped), but now he does not move. We have to change him sides once in a while. We put the litter by him and he had a difficult time walking. He complainted out of pain. It seemed as one of his back leg does not work properly and his tail spins so fast to keep his half balance. He doesn't have much balance. We brought him to the vet and they told me he is recovering. It has been a week. He does not move, he moves his eyes and goes to the little once a day. He will not move to eat or drink. and if we pet him on his back legs or all his paws he crys

Thank you

In my math class, we're having a debate if pandas eat bamboo chutes or shoots. A friend of mine said it was schute, but I don't think that's right. I think it's chute. What is the correct spelling?

Someone once told me that all gingers are always Toms, and that torties are always Queens, with only very occasional exceptions. Just out of interest, is this true?

Hello all! I want to buy my kitten a cat tree for her first Christmas. She has tons of energy to burn and I think she'd love it. I even took her to the pet store one day and I allowed her to frolic on one and she had a ball.
My questions are for those of you who bought one....after your kitten "grew up", did they still play on it? Was it worth the money?
I'd like to buy her a nice one (and those are pricey) but I cannot see myself spending a king's ransom for something she's only going to like/use for a few months.
Even if you haven't bought one and know someone who has I'd appreciate your thoughts and stories too! Oh. And if you thought about a tree but went with another large toy, what did you purchase? Does your cat like it?
Thank you!
