You mean neutered not spayed only female dogs get spayed. There is bound to be a little bruising around his parts but this should disappear within a few days if in doubt ask the vet that did the op.

The bruising is normal. The older a male dog, the more they swell up after surgery and sometimes display bruising... BTW, he got neutered (spaying is for girls). To keep the scrotal sack from getting really swollen (yes, you'll have to touch it), use alternating hot and cold packs to make him more comfortable. Watch for signs of infection (walking like a sailor, red streaks, lack of appetite). Keep him quiet (yeah, right, good luck), and ....

Totally normal, its only bruising.

All animals are likely to get this after an operation.

Bruising is just bleeding underneath the skin so especially after an operation it's likely to happen.

If your worried though check up with your vet, but it's honestly nothing to worry about

This is probably just bruising, which is extremely common after an animal is spayed or neutered. If you are worried though call up the vet

Don't you mean your dog was neutered? Anyway, this happend with my male dog about a week after he was neutered. My vet said it was completely normal (blood had pooled in his testicles) as my dog was probably too active during his recovery.

He may just have suffered some bruising. Call your vet to be sure. Excessive bruising is not normal for this procedure.

His scrotum is discolored? I am not sure what you are referring to.

When we neuter dogs we do not remove the scrotum. It will eventually shrink. It is quite normal that the scrotum will become a "darker" color post surgery due to brusing.
