Did you tell your vet you can't afford it right now? Many vets will step up a payment plan or let you pay with a check that they won't cash until next week. If your vet won't do that call around, I'm sure you can find one that will

Do NOT wait a week. Anything strange coming out of an older unspayed dog's vulva has the potential to be very serious indeed. Is the dog drinking more? Seeming any different in herself? You have to be aware of the fact that 1 in 10 unspayed female dogs get pyometra (uterine infection) when they're older, and it IS fatal if not treated in time.
We can't tell you what this problem is, we haven't seen the dog. Even the vets can't tell you without seeing the dog, so we certainly can't. Like I said, do NOT wait a week, if it is the start of a pyo then it could well be too late by then.

EDIT: Then tell the owner of the dog this. Make him/her aware of how much trouble this dog could potentially be in.

eco-friendly stuff popping out of her private area is by no skill a solid sign. It appears like an infection and he or she desires vet care today. I had a dogs that had a yellow discharge and he or she merely approximately died from a extreme an infection. fortuitously, I took her to the vet and he or she went in for today for emergency spaying and we've been waiting to save her existence. She is now 8 years previous and a happy and energetic dogs.

I think any decent vet would see her today, knowing she's got something hanging out of her vagina, and knowing you can pay next week. It's worth calling them. Vets love animals. They wouldn't want this to go untreated if at all possible.

Bullshit. This can't wait. Get her to the vets or the emergency vets right away. If you try CareCredit, your dog will get the care she needs, your vet will get paid, and you can make monthly payments and pay it off. Financial responsibility is part of pet ownership. If you cannot properly provide care for a pet then you have no right to have one. Get a second job if you have to but get that dog to the vet!

its probably a pyometra, and infection that gets into the uterus of older female dogs, most often when they are not spayed. you can always see if your vet accepts CareCredit, its a credit card that alows you to make payments. but honestly if you cant afford to take your animals to the vet you shouldnt own animals. what if it is a serious emergency???

This is truly an emergency (life-threatening type). You should tell the owner about this. Also, there's no such breed called Miniature Collie. I think you are referring to Shetland Sheepdogs (Shelties).

Without seeing it, it's impossible to diagnose, but it could be a prolapse which is an EMERGENCY!
