They can eat the beetles. They won't hurt the lizards, how ridiculous.
You could also use the beetles to set up a breeding colony, so you won't have to buy mealworms anymore.

The beetles are harmless, but may be more difficult to digest. Mealworms that aren't refrigerated will morph into beetles, then the beetles will breed and produce more mealworms! Easy to raise your own. If you don't want beetles, keep the mealies in the fridge until 24 hours before using them for food. This way they have a chance to eat before being fed to the lizard.
Superworms are NOT mealworms, and they do not turn into beetles unless separated from each other into individual cups and allowed to morph. Never refrig superworms, it will kill them.
Mealies are OK for leopard geckos, but shouldn't be fed to bearded dragons--beardies have too much trouble digesting the outer shell (chitin).

its ok they can eat them trust me i know i have hundreds of mealworms that are always turning into beetles and now i have about 100 beetles and i feed them to my leopard geckos a lot. the only thing wrong with the beetles is that the wings on their back may be hard for the gecko to get through its throught. so if u do fd them these dont feed them a lot at once feed them at different times so it has time to digest them, hope this helps!

The beatles tend to burrow so it may be tougher for the lizard to catch them. Other than that, beatles won't cause harm.

i would remove the bettles anyway. i dnot know if they that particularly harmful to the lizard but just to be on the safe side i would remove them asap. also avoid feeding mealworms bc the chitin in their shells are indeigestable to many lizards kept as pets and they can destroy the insides of lizards. i would suggest5 not feeding them ever again and feeding gutloaded crickets apporpreitly sized for your lizard i hope this helps

I am pretty sure hes not going to eat the beatle and how long did you leave the worm in there for lol. should take them out if e does not eat it the worm could do something to them i am pretty sure like bite on em or something so yes take no the beatle i guess you could mate him/her to make more mealworms.
