I don't want a plant that gets very tall and I want one that doesn't require much maintenance.

What do I do to entice him? I don't have any worms or such to put on the food to wiggle so I need a way for him to be enticed to eat the veggies.

I know it's not because he isn't hungry, I will offer him veggies first before crickets. But he needs that balanced diet so what should I do?

A tomcat appeared at our door yesterday and has been harrassing my cats (scratching, hissing) and eating their food since then.

I've put a notice up at the post office in case someone wants to claim him (he looks healthy), but how long should I wait before trapping him and taking him to the pound? And what can I do in the meantime to try to run him off?

It is healthy to use Borax on dogs to kill their fleas, leaving it in the fur for a few minutes while you watch them and make sure they dont eat it, right?

I have my first mixed-breed pup and have heard recently that it IS possible to get her registered (different type of reg. of course) and show her through AKC. I know for a fact my pup's sire is purebred german shepherd and the dam is purebred australian cattle dog....Obviously she wouldn't be eligable for breed-specific competitions like conformation but what i'm interested in is obedience/rally/agility. Does anyone know for SURE that this "limited registration" is possible to obtain titles? On AKC's website it was unclear weather or not the limited reg. was only for purebred dogs that didn't have papers or if they have something for mixed breeds as well.

Ok, I have a 1 year old cat named Mackenzie and we adopted her when she was 3 months old, 4 months later we adopted Darwin and he was 2 1/2 months old at the time. They started off really rough and fought all the time. Before Darwin came into the picture Mackenzie was very affectionate..she loved to sit on our laps and be petted, and sleep with us. Her and Darwin have managed to coexist with each other and even play together..They still can get pretty rough with one another but Mackenzie is often very skittish or paranoid. She doesnt sit with us much or sleep with us. She is loving still at times but not they way she use to be. Her and Darwin sleep together sometimes and can be loving to one another....What is wrong with her?

They are both spade...

She is Female and he is a Male.

we just adopted her. she's very affectionate; she looks healthy (though lean), is very active, drinks plenty of water, shows some interest in food-- eats a bite or two (or just sniffs it) and then goes off! i have no experience with kittens (only cats); this is the third day. she did show more interest in raw meat, which we gave her (about one cube of lamb). we ran out of that and plan to go get some more, but meantime it seems she would eat high quality wet or dry food. the shops here dont have high quality wet food for kittens, only cats. what is the difference? calories? i plan to get some dry kitten food in case that high calorie stuff makes a difference, along with some more fresh raw meat. but anyway, is this normal kitten behavior? how much do they eat? is one kind of raw meat better than another? and has she been eating enough?

I have had this kitten for 3 1/2 months, he is nurtured, goes to the vet on a regular basis. I have talked to the vet about this problems, but the vet says nothing. He isn't interested in us anymore, all he wants to do is get in trouble. He rips apart EVERYTHING. The box of kitty litter, he will knock the garbage can over and rip the bag open if we leave him out while not home. He gets on the Kitchen counter knocks dishes on the floor and breaks them. When we get up to put him in his cage he runs from us. And bits us when we catch him and put him in his cage. He is in his cage A LOT because I try to teach him what he does is bad, but as soon as he gets out, I try to play with him and love him but he doesn't want my attention. He wants to go back to what he was doing, when he got in trouble.

This makes my cry because I am starting to hate my baby kitten. Its like he wants me to hate him. He as so many toys, and everything he ever wanted. He hasn't always been like this.

like i've run out of good ones. i plan to keep this one and would like a good name.she's in the process of losing an eye. i named another one eyed kitten bonnie after the famous female pirate. she's a dark (almost black) chocolate brown. she's VERY affectionate and loves to cuddle. she has a huge purr loves to sit and stare at your face trying to get your attention. lol. i thought of hershey but it doesn't sound like a girl name and isn't very original. we were calling her sienna but everyone says it sounds like santa so we gave up on that. then i thought of anna but my daughter doesn't like it.
please help???!!!
thank you.

My 7 year old blind shihtzu suddenly has developed this condition and was diagnosed by the vet a day ago. I have locked him in a dark room and I am giving him water by syringe. The vet has given him some medicine but he is still totally disorientated (unable to walk or stand). If anyone has experience with this condition or has any tips please let me know. It's extremely distressing to see him like this so your help would be greatly appreciated.

My 22 year old cat has feline aids. Is there anything I should do? Is there even a cure?

Is he deaf? I call him and he doesn't respond. He has had ear mites for a couple years now, so bad that they were bleeding and all scabby. We got ear cleaner from the vet and only could only put it in once, now he runs off and scratches everyone. What should I do? Is he deaf?

What is the normal age for a healthy cat to die?

He is not fixed and sprays everything. Should I take the risk of loosing him in the surgery? Should he just be an outdoor cat?

Is it even ok to have that old of a cat outdoors with all of the dogs, raccoons, mountain lions, and cars?

he is still very active but the stink in this house is unbearable. Then there is the constant hunger. He practically takes my hand off when i am dishing it up. His head is in the packet as soon as i open it. he spends the day with his face covered in jelly!

She is adorable but I was just curious about her breed. Here is a link to her picture. Thank you for anyone that might be able to help!!! The rescue shelter said she was a terrier mix but I didn't know if she looks like she has anything else in her. Thanks again!

My dog went in on Tuesday to be neutered (it is now Thursday). My dog since then has been acting very strange, which I assumed he would for a few days, but I think he is having trouble peeing or he feels like he has to go all the time and has actually had accidents on the carpet. When I take him outside he will squat to go but then he starts running around in the squated position, then he tries going about 4 or 5 more times? The first time he goes he is actually peeing... I am wondering if this is normal or if I should take him back right away?

If it should be that I grow frail and weak
And pain should keep me from my sleep,
Then will you do what must be done,
For this -- the last battle -- can't be won.
You will be sad I understand,
But don't let grief then stay your hand,
For on this day, more than the rest,
Your love and friendship must stand the test.
We have had so many happy years,
You wouldn't want me to suffer so.
When the time comes, please, let me go.
Take me to where to my needs they'll tend,
Only, stay with me till the end
And hold me firm and speak to me
Until my eyes no longer see.
I know in time you will agree
It is a kindness you do to me.
Although my tail its last has waved,
From pain and suffering I have been saved.
Don't grieve that it must be you
Who has to decide this thing to do;
We've been so close -- we two -- these years,
Don't let your heart hold any tears.
