This sounds like two problems. One he isn't getting fed enough during the day and that's why he is so hungry and eating way to fast. I personally believe in leaving dry food out at all times so they can eat at anytime when they are hungry and giving wet as a special treat in the evening. Second is he probably has worms and needs a trip to the vet for his shots, fecal testing and worming. Also clean his litter box at least 2x a day and once a week wash it out thoroughly with a solution of bleach and water and rinse thoroughly. The diarrhea should stop eventually after solving these two problems.

Hi there.
Has he been wormed or is he still too young?
I have a new ginger domestic shorthair kitten that is exactly the same! He doesn't stop eating and every meal I am trying to eat he is by the side of me crying for food!
I have wormed him so I know that he is ok But my vet told me that ginger cats are the most greedy of them all so I would be interested to know what breed your cat is.
I think all kittens are quite greedy though as they are all experimenting with food so be careful not to be too soft on them! Let them know that they are not allowed food ALL the time.

He sounds like he needs a trip to the vet.
Is he putting on weight with all this stuffing? May be that he has worms - they would make him starving.
If he is actually gaining weight it sounds more like he is just greedy rather than hungry! Although there are medical reasons that a cat will overeat to excess (like an under active thyroid - but I wouldn't have thought a cat that young would have that - I'm not a vet though!)
He really needs to go on a diet and/or get treatment - sorry - the vet beckons!

As others have said already. it could be worms. And I see by another piece you have on Yahoo Answers that you have already decided to take Tilly to the vets for the worming treatment.
When someone said earlier about milk giving cats d... it can. And I see no-one has yet suggested maybe trying her on water instead of milk, or dilute the milk with water for a weak mixture.
Hope you get it sorted.
She sounds a real cutie!!

I would collect a fresh faecal sample and take it along with the kitten to the vet. The faecal sample can then be examined to see if there are work larvae present. Some wormers do not treat for all worms so it is important to determine what worms are present.
If your cat has got fleas then it is more than likely then he will have tape worm. You will also need to treat for fleas.
Good luck!!

yes, kittens will do that, remember their stomachs are incredibly small so they need feeding very often and very small amounts so about 6 or 7 meals a day. the diarrheoa or whatever its spelt(!) is as a result of this. if you can, get bland food inside him, white chicken and fish, until the runs have cleared up, then get back on normal food. or the best one to do is the pouches from the vet for digestive problems, they will know the ones to give you, but its a bit pricey

Definitley sounds like worms, my kitten was the same and when I got him to a vet he also had a stomach infection that he had gotten from the pet shop :(
So I would suggest getting him/her to a vet/pdsa/blue cross or something to make sure, it can be dangerous for kittens that young if left untreated.

Think he has got worms which would explain the hunger. The bulging tummy is probably the worms. Milk can give cats the squits too.

When my cat had worms she jumped onto the range as I was frying an egg and actually dragged the fried egg out of the pan in front of my eyes! That's how ravenous worms makes cats.

Sounds like he needs a worm tablet. Also kittens are greedy and don't know when to stop! Feed him the recommended amount according to the food you have chosen for him and don't be tempted to give more!Good luck!
