I used Bio-Spot flea drops and shame on me for not doing my research beforehand...apparently it is no good for kitties. (I just rescued 4 stray kittens about 3 months old)

Now i am going to buy Advantage from my vet on Sunday but should i wash the Bio-Spot stuff off first before applying a second kind of flea control?

Our family pet is a 3 yr old siamese cat, she is spayed and has always been really sucky and loving. Recently she has been very agressive. We are smokers, and she started attacing us when we were smoking. So we stopped smoking around her. Now she has started just randomly attacking my father, mother and myself. When she attacks, she flattens her ears back, all of her hair puffs up, her eyes dialate to pure black and hisses at us before she leaps at us. Is there any reason all of a sudden she would start this? I was reading about stress on cats, but nothing has been happening recently in our home that would cause that. Is there anything we can do? We're considering putting her down if we cant figure this out, and it breaks my heart to think that we might have to do that. HELP!!

holding them. i can easily hold the kitten he isn't that strong or heavy yet and doesn't mind a bath. the queen make you think you are murdering her but she is very good and other than a lot of noise she stays put. the adult tom makes loads of noise bites, scratches and can get out of my grip as he is all muscle and he protests and even before the water from the shower is turned on. they need to be bathed occasionally for flea control due to the fact we can't use chemicals from flea products on them.i really need some suggestions to make this easier on all of us for next months bathing session as the kitten is 25 weeks old and weighs 3.25 kgs and is getting strong like his father. sensible suggestions only please.

I'd like to de-flea my house (I have only seen fleas on myself & stray kittens i just brought into my home) but before it gets too crazy i want to nip it in the bud.

I know there are TONS of products out there, but i'm afraid to use any of it because of harsh chemicals. Any suggestions?

I've never used this website/company-- and I looked online and saw that their prices are lower...and they also offer generic versions.
Has anyone used them and had good experiences? Is it safe to use the generic versions of Heartguard?
These are the items that tend to be expesive and I need more often.

Isn't this the company that Betty White endorses?? ; )

Many German shepherd dogs and their crosses have weakness in the hindquarters and are lame crocks while fairly young:Many English bulldogs have breathing problems connected to their deformed faces,Dacshunds have overlong backs which cause them problems.
I suppose there are many more of these problems which are clearly hereditary and inbred.I have been thinking about this for awhile and it seems to me that the kennel clubs policies must play a strong part in the U.K.For many years now it has been illegal to breed from crosses and crosses are always neutered. No doubt some do breed but most crossbreed pups must surely now come from pure bred parents and that must mean that breeding is coming from defective parents(unsuccessful showdogs being made to earn their keep before the final jab?)I think its scandalous,Im 73 years old and I never saw such horrors before the last 20 years.
Any body agree with me or otherwise:If you agree any idea what can be done ?

How can you tell if a cat purrs because it's happy and cozy, or because it's upset?

Hi,
I don't seem to be off this site the past few weeks!!
I came home this evening to be met by my 15 year old cat Jessi, limping. She was holding up her left hind leg and just hobbled into the house. My neighbour said she saw her under her car and there was another cat who has been pestering her hanging around the car. She's now asleep in her bed after having some dinner. Her bed has a hood so can't get in to see if there's a bite on her leg. I tried running my hand down her back and she jerked her head towards me when I got near her leg and she went to bite me when I (lightly) touched her leg. I'm bringing her to the vet tomorrow morning anyway but just would like a few thoughts. Could she just have sprained it? I kind of worried about what the vet will say considering her age.
Thanks
Claire.

Does yours? Have you heard of this? I thought only dogs did that. He puts his front paws in the bowl (eww) and hind legs on the seat, and drinks. We offer him fresh water but he is not interested. He only likes water from the toilet bowl or the shower stall after I shower..haha.

I have a 6 week old baby bearded dragon. I got him 2 weeks ago, and he was acting fine. He would spend most of the day basking, even though his rock has a hide in it. Just yesterday I noticed that he had been hiding in his rock and had gotten really dark. I wondered if it was Brumation but I know especially for babies it is really important that he be basking. Is it ok for him to be hiding? Or should I find him a rock without a hide in it. Do you think anything is wrong? Is this normal behavior.

And he is still eating normally.
