I prefer feeding in the morning because they usually like to go soon after eating and if they eat at night they might be prone to accidents in the house unless you have a doggie door.

The morning - so they can properly digest the food. (Dogs in particular are more active during the day than at night.) Cats can be either.....BY the way, unless you have a tiny pet, you should feed twice a day. Or at the very least, feed in the morning and give a snack in the evening.

Depends on when you are going to be home and willing to take them out to use the bathroom.
I assume you are talking about dogs, ?pigs?, or other large animals that may live inside your house. If you are home during the day...feed them in the morning. Evening...feed them in the afternoon. Are you a night owl...feed them at night.

What type of pet?
I guess I would feed before they are likely to be most active in order to burn the food off.
Not sure which type of animal should only be fed once a day though - a reptile?

Merry meet,
I don't know that the time of day necessarily matters as long as it is the same time every day. Most people feed their pets when it is the easiest for them.
Hope this helped.

we were told to feed our dog in the pm if only once a day - it has something to do with sleeping better but attentive to noise.

morning would be better, I suppose if you feed in the evening they are gonna poop and pee late evening......
if you happen to put your pet in the crate.... your pet might need to go out to do his/her business.
