We are thinking of getting a Yorkshire terrier puppy and have two cats aged 2 and 3 years. Does anyone know how Yorkshire terriers get on with cats?

As in regards to their dog. Has a particular answer been helpful in the decision to breed your dog or not? If so, what was it? How about regarding spay/neuter issues?
Was an answer helpful in helping you decide which breed is right for you?

Please give details. It seems today tempers are flaring...posters reporting answerers...I'm just curious if this forum has helped anyone at all or if those of us that take the time to give our time and knowledge are p*ssing in the wind?

I'm breeding mollies, and I still have guppies in my tank, so I don't want to put too much salt in so that my guppies will die. So the question is, what is the maximum amount of salt I can use for guppies, so I don't kill them? Looking for best answer!

Thanks!

I first off would like to say I do not take kindly on attacks from people who do not know me. I do know the breed I have and anything I don't know we call my husbands grandma who has had boxers for 30 years. They are all top show dogs. She also has a boxer rescue and is a judge for the shows. Now to the answers. First of all OFA is not a score is a scale and our boxer ranks good on the scale. Second, if a boxer has 1/3 or more white on them they are not faulted only disqualified. You last question did not make sense because I know my breed standard not every other breeds standard but I believe you would be talking about the bite however every standard for the boxer is also on another breeds standards. Might just be worded differently. So I am not real sure what you were talking about there. So please people stop being rude and get along with others and don't talk down to people and make yourself look better. We are all here to help others. At least that is what I am here for.

I know this might sound dumb but I just want to know. I received today this heater precision submersible heater. I just want to know if it works like the other submersible heater. See this picture http://www.aqua-fish.net/imgs/articles/vertical-aquarium-heater.jpg. I was reading the instructions and it says..."place heater vertically in aquarium" If i put all the way horizontally is okay? The heater is Dual temp 5-20 precision submersible heater

yesterday I bought a puppy and the owners told me he is a maltese and even let me see his parents, who look full maltese. (They also gave me the vet papers that said maltese on it) Even though he looked kind of different from them I still bought him anyway because he is extremely cute! But when I got home I realized he looks exactly like a pomeranian. Please look at his picture and tell me what you think. Also does it cost money just to take him to a vet to find out the breed?

Someone abandoned a cat at my apartment. When I first saw it, someone said it had been hanging around for several days. I was able to pet the cat. I spent several days luring it to my apartment with food. I've been feeding it for a week, but it seems to be gettting more and more scared/unfriendly each day. I can't get near it now because it runs away. Should I just stop feeding it? Food isn't cheap, and I'd like to at least be able to pet it when it's on my porch.

My 3 yr old Lhasa Apso is obsessed with licking ears. He licks peoples ear's, other dog's ears, cat's ears, and he even licked the ear right off of one of his toys. Does anyone else's dog do this? I know two of my mom's Lhasas (one being my dog's father) do the same thing.

She's 6 months old, and we're going for her half year check up soon. When do you think they will reccomend the operation, and what should I expect. Will I have to restrict food/water, how long will she be there, how much will it cost (I've heard £100, it doesn't matter either way, I just don't want to be ripped off) and what will the after care be?
What have been your personal experiences, and have you ever had any bad ones?

Last year I moved far away from my home town because my fiance and I were getting an apartment together and finally getting married but then he lied to me about some things and I ended up calling off our four year relationship because I knew he just wasn't the type of man I could trust to be the father of my children, anyway I had a good job in the area and a nice apartment so I stayed up here while in the process of graduating high school (online adult highschool program) I graduated and then I looked into college. I found my dream school (the Vet Tech Institute) and it happened to be near my home town so I applied and was accepted...the semester was supposed to start October 1st but even with my counselor's help, I still couldn't find a place to live, a job, transportation, or enough financial aid to go there...I thought about pushing my start date back a semester but I still wouldn't have the money by Feb, so I dropped out of the program and now I don't know what to do...

heads when u are supposed to pet their neck or chest first???

i am just wondering, because my neighbor and i were walking our dogs, i had my bullmastiff, my hubby had our boxer, my neighbor had her German Shepard,

and this family were at the park and and one girl who was about 12 came up to my neighbors german shepard, and just hugged him, and he jumped back and growled at her and showed his teeth, and the parents of the young girl said that the german shepard has to be more socialized....

then the dad just wanted to pet my dog, but didn't ask me, and then when he attempted to, he didn't let my bullie sniff him first, and then my bullie barked at the man........he was just protecting me! he never does that when i allow it, or when they smell u first!!!

he was upset bc he said our dogs are not socialized, and its not true. i said how would u like it if i just grabbed your hand without introducing myself first??!??

give me your opinion
