Both Mollies and Guppies can live in Freshwater, Brackish Water or Salt Water what you need to do is SLOWLY increase the specific gravity of the water so the fish can acclimate to their new environment.
The way I would do it is with your regular water changes. Start out with a specific gravity of 1.005 and increase by .005 each water change. Also do not add the new water quickly to your tank gradually add it by using some airline tubing by creating a syphon between the newly mixed water and the tank water. You can do these changes approximately every third day until you reach the desired specific gravity that you want.
Just remember a couple of things.
1. Use a good sea salt, not anything for human consumption.
2. Most mollies in your LPS are going to be in Fresh water and will have to be acclimated the same way as the guppies.

Don't listen when other people say that salt kills guppies! In their natural environments, there is a little salt that comes into their water from the ocean. I don't know how much aquarium salt you should add but I know your guppies will be healthier if you add it.

Guppies do seem to prefer a little salt in the water, and can live quite happily in brackish water. They can also live in 100% fresh water, but they are very salt tolerant. Check what other fish you are keeping, some other fish are very sensitive to salt, so let that decide your salt use. Ian

A good level for fish freshwater fish that thrive in salted water is around 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons of water. You can go less than that, but I wouldn't go higher than 1 teaspoon per gallon. Good luck.

I use salt in my aquarium with guppies, and they are doing fine! I think it is like one teaspoon per gallon.

Read the instructions. If there is none on the package, ask at the pet store. If they don't know{they should},get a book on caring for guppies or salt water aquariums.

The directions should be on the container itself and it's based on the size of the tank, not the type of fish that are in there.
If anything, use half to 3/4 of what the directions say to use, or just use Stress Coat instead.
