no they are not. the best one for your money is frontlineplus it kills all the ticks and fleas and its eggs and stuff entirely. i use it on my dogs all the time once a month.

I never heard of that my vet sell both medicines and if they where bad for the dogs I'm sure they wouldn't sell it . I love K9 Advantix for my dog is very good and I recommend it to all my friends who heave dogs .

If you have a cat that comes in contact with your dog, I would not use advantix. There is a product/chemical in it that can cause cats to have seizures. Frontline works well if applied properly.

why would you ask that? most of not all of the vets have it available in their offices for you to purchase, if not one product then the other, mine has both so you can choose. the new Advantix does more than Frontline, but that's up to the pet owner. I doubt that a vet would offert it to his patients if it was bad for them. also, pet-meds.com sells it too.

Follow the instructions carefully and you should not have problems with it and you will not have fleas and that is a very good thing.

As long as you put it where they can not lick it, it is fine.... It's ingesting it that causes problems. Just follow the instructions.
