It is odd. She is normally a happy dog. She is about a year and a half and my other dog is a pug! They constantly play and are very good to each other but if the cocker has something in her mouth (usually a sock) she begins to cry. She still carries it but it almost looks like she is looking for a place to put the sock. She will cry for a few seconds and then walks into another room. She has a ton of toys laying around the house but it is the sock that makes her cry..... I don't think they smell that bad??

My 12 week old, 25lb dog just got into a bag of adult dog food and ate over half the bag while we were out for dinner (stupid, forgetful boys who don't put things away). Her belly is pretty distended and she has been drinking a lot of water and acting a little funny. Is there anything I really need to be worried about or will she just feel bad like anyone would if they over ate?

Im treating my betta for ick. I have some ick stuff in the tank right now, i was wondering if i can put in aquarium salt in the tank right now. Also, the salt looks like sea salt, how much should i put in the tank is a betta starter kit... i have another tank but i put him in there untill he heals anyways thanks!! :)

i am having a huge problem. my cat who is like 7 months old got hit by car, but i think someone hurt him in purpose, anyway yesterday at morning he came home full of blood, and when i pick him up he is all wet and he bleeds, and now he bearly eats and urinates himself, one of his side is like it was broken , but what has me worried the most is that he bearly moves and if u move him or he moves he bleeds a little and i dont know where the blood is coming from, and he sweats or something cause he is always wet and smelly ,and here in new jersey vets cost a lot and i cant afford it, does anyone have any ideas what can i do to help him, because i love him to much to put him to sleep

My dog has been acting out of sorts lately. He is rather lethargic, and has been drinking less water and since about 2 days ago he is having trouble eating. As well there is really thick slime dripping from his mouth that I have to wipe up ever once in a while. I took him to the vet and all the tests are normal so far, but I know that there is something wrong with him. I think perhaps there is something stuck in his throat, which would explain the inability to eat and the slime, but I'm not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My cat is 2 years old, and he is adorable. He's playful, very good-natured, he enjoys people, etc. However, I've been very seriously thinking about getting a puppy. I'm looking at the Pomeranian breed. They're small, playful, etc., so my cat wouldn't be intimidated.

Someone told me that a pup would work out better than another cat/kitten because then he would see competition, and with a puppy, he may want to protect it, etc. What do you guys think? Some good advice would be helpful now. Thanks!

ok, so i have a dog thats a little over one, we got her when she was about 7weeks old. of course, she came from the shelter with worms and parasites and we dewormed her and all that good stuff and has been fine. a few months ago she was diagnosed with some type of mites on her nose and was given interceptor to clear it up, which is really for heart worm but can work on mites. she was on that for 3 months, during that time she wasnt supposed to be on any other type of heart worm meds. n-e-who, at the end of this 3 months she was diagnosed with immune diffancy, and then had to stay at the kennel for a week, where she finished the last of her meds. she's been home for less than a month, and today we noticed she has worms!! i've never had a dog this old with worms and dont know if its because she's off that med all of a sudden, or because of the immune diffiancy or what. i know we have to take her to the vet, she'll be going back for rabies updates and fecal check in 2 weeks anyways

An ex coworker, wanted an english bulldog for the longest time. I don't think he did the research because now his "baby' is six or seven months old and doesn't listen. I know that the breed is very stubborn, but lovable, you just have to have patiences. So he wants to get rid of him. I want the dog.
But he won't "give" him up. He wants to make his money back (2500). I don't care about papers, or registration. How should I resolve this?

I just got a kitten and it never stopped meowing.

My cat gave birth to 5 kittens 2.1/2 months ago. Now I have 6 cats in my place. In one hand I love them all to pieces. They are so cute, innocent, loveable. They play together, sleep together, and still nurse from their momma cat (basically for comfort ). It's amazing and nearly miraclous to watch the love among them ( and also my own love for them). I know I cann't keep 6 cats. They're already too expensive and time consuming to manage. However, I'm so..... conflicted about taking the kittens to an animal shelter ( keep their mom). I feel guilty about that. I also just plain love them. I know their mom will cry out for them if I take them away ( and it'll break my heart). But their care and training consumes so much of my time and resources. And, please....., don't say I should've spayed her, I plan to; but what now? I just have such conflicted feeling about taking the kittens away. I don't seem to be able to reconsile my feeling with my logic. Any thought??

Well a couple weeks ago i was at my local saltwater fish store about to buy a pair of true perculas but i could of sworn they were false percs by looking at coloring and at that point i was 100% positive they were false percs. The false percs they were selling wer priced at 20$ but the true percs at 35$. Do pet stores try and pass off false percs as true percs to make money?

I participate in a weekly photo contest for Chinese Water Dragons. I have two, Diego and Lego. This week's theme is "nap time" or "lazy" And so I have to have a picture with good quality, fits the theme, and is still cute.
