A lot of people are telling you to play with her, check on her, and otherwise give her some kind of attention. These people are wrong. Do not reward the behavior you wish to discourage. Keep some little bottles of water handy around the house for a few months. She gets petting when she's just sitting around being a quite cat. She sings and she gets baptized. (Just a drop or two.) Eventually even a pea brain catches on that life is better when she keeps her yap shut.

I have a cat and he meows a lot if he wants food, if he wants attention, or if he wants let outside. (He's an outdoor cat and indoor.) I usually know when he's hungry if he's sitting next to his food and if it's around time that I usually feed him. If he's standing at the door, he probably would want out/in. If there's nothing else he'll probably want attention. Once I satisfy him he's good. Try that to your cat.

She will get over it. My calico meowed for the first three night I had her. You have to remember that they were taken away from their litter mates and they are looking for them.
The same thing happens with puppies, they cry something fierce for the first few days you have them, then they get used to being in their new home.
Spend as much time with your kitten as you can. Play with her and even keep her in your room at night.

She's scared and lonely and thinks of you as mommy. Eventually she'll learn to keep herself amused and won't need as much attention, but for the moment you've basically got a fuzzy little infant to look after.

most cats aren't very vocal. at this point it sounds like she craves attention. if she keeps trying to keep you awake, play with her for a little bit, see if she quiets down. if she doesn't take her into bed with you, and try to hold her down until either a: she falls asleep or b: she runs away because she doesn't want to be held. either way she'll stop making noise

kittens and puppies are like children, if you didnt want a child then you shouldn't of adopted. babies cry when they want your attention.
or i know, think of someone taking you from your family and puting you into a cold dark room alone with nothing to do. im sure you'd be yelling for someone....

Give her plenty of attention, play with her a lot (especially before bed!), and be patient -she'll most likely settle down as she gets a bit older.
Good luck.

You can't do anything!!! Does your cat ever tell you to shut up! It only meows because it's young. Maybe you should shut up.
