of the number of pets a person has. Maybe add a $20.

Employers won't do that become legally animals aren't a co-dependant so they won't offer insurance for them. Unless they are listed on your tax forms (which isn't possible), you won't be getting insurance for your pet anytime soon.

Pets are not humans and they are certainly not a necessity. You are for giving them the same human rights as a spouse? Oh, brother. Can we say PETA? That may be an exaggerated comparison (I don't know) but I'm not forking out money to care for a pet that YOU can't afford.
