Some people feed their dogs garlic as a natural flea repellant, it won't harm your pup. OMG look at all those ingredients and how little meat/poultry compared to all the fillers. Check out Canidae and Innova, I've heard they are better. I raw feed, and I'm not suggesting for one minute you feed your pup raw meat/bones/ etc., but I am suggesting you find a food for your pup that's not loaded with all those fillers/chemicals.

p.s. I just read "What is best dry dog food for West Highland Terrier?" There's a list of dry foods with links, check it out.

In small amounts, garlic is NOT harmful and it is actually beneficial for a lot of things. It is a natural insect repellant, it prevents infections as it is antibacterial and anti parasitic.
Wellness is a wonderful food, and whoever said it is low in meat is wrong. It has a perfect meat content and it is a high quality food.
I have used garlic supplements on my dogs for years instead of chemicals and we have never had a flea problem and we live in Florida which is the flea capital of the world, so if it can work here, it can work anywhere.

Garlic is NOT poision to dogs/puppies. It would only cause problems if consumed in large quanities not in the minor amounts found in many dog foods. It is an ingredient many people who homecook use in their foods, it is something that holistic vets and others often recommend for help in controling fleas.
