K...I wanted a Turtle, then I wanted a Hermit-Crab. Now I want a fish...I think what I really wanted was something in a fish tank. So what shoudl I do...I dont want a turtle because I might kill it! I dont think I want a Hermit-Crab because its going to pinch me and you have to pick out a specific shell for it and they get so HUGE! So Im thinking a fish will do...I just want a pet that can stay in my room, does NOT smell, and cant get ran overed, killed or run away! So what kind of animal should I get? I REALLY NEED HELP! IF I GET A FISH...WHAT KIND SHOULD I GET THAT WONT COST ALOT OF $MOOLA$?

My dog is outside often, and he's constantly breaking off twigs and sticks from plants and shrubs outside.

He's already done a load of damage, and it's hard to catch him in the act. How can I stop him from this bad behavior?

My hamster has a black lump on her back and i heard they are called mites. She is also losing some fur. Her skin is rough and the hair doesnt feel soft anymore. Its been like this for a few weeks. Will it eventually go away? Will the hair grow back? my dad wont take it to a vet because its costs a lot. If i dont do anything, will my hamster die?

My wife and I adopted a mellow beagle from a rescue agency two months ago. We love him very much and is a wonderful dog except we cannot get him 100% potty trained. We crate him and immediately take him outside in the morning and in the afternoon. However, he still marks indoors when he's out of our sight. We clean every time thoroughly with an enzyme cleaner, but he continues to mark new areas in the house. This happens only when he is just out of our sight and about 3-5 times a week. He is getting neutered tomorrow, but I'm not sure if that is supposed to help. What else can we do to fix this problem? He is otherwise our perfect dream dog.

Besides the hairless cat. I'm very allergicto cats, but it seems sometimes I can pet a cat & nothing will happen, other times, I don't even have to pet it, if it rubs against my leg I start to sneeze. Why is this? Anyone know? I LOVE cats & want one really bad but I need to know if there is a certain breed or gender?

I want to buy a pure bread puppy, (more specifically a pit bull) and I was wondering what the best questions are to ask breeders. One particular breeder only vaccinates his puppies at six weeks old. (is that late for first vaccinations?) On the day that the someone buys one of his puppies breeder and the buyer go to the vet together for a general checkup and shots – the breeder doesn’t pay for the vet bill either. Also, this particular breeder only gives a two day warranty on his puppies. I want to buy a puppy that is healthy and strong, and that won’t show symptoms of parvo or some other horrible puppy killing disease a week or two after I bring him or her home. What’s the best way to go about doing this?

My sis's dog would not eat the heartworm medicine. I have tried to wrap it with ham and chicken BUT the dog will "unwrapped" the ham and chicken, and leave the heartworm medicine on the floor. Anyone has any other tricks? (besides shoving it down the dog's throat?) GOSH! Please help!!

I have a new 8 week old kitten who was not being raised quite correctly. The old owner was still feeding the cat cows milk so I decided the best thing to do would be get him off it right away. Just before I moved him to solids he had a quick bout of the runs which made a mess. It took a whole day getting him onto water and dry kitty food but hes now happy as larry eating it.

Last night (when he started eating the dry food) I decided to lock him in his room so if he got the runs throughout the night it wouldn't spread through the house. When I got up this morning he was very aloof and not as close to me as he was up until this point.

Clearly he is a little mad with me and doesnt understand why I locked him in. Tonight I dont think I will lock him in as his poops are back to normal now.

I also have been chastising him for trying to get into my meal which he doesnt appreciate.

Will he get over this and back to our loving close relationship?

My dog ate a peanut that fell on the floor this afternoon and it made me think, if people can have potentially fatal allergies to food, chemicals and things in the environment, can animals react in similar ways?
