My dog is outside often, and he's constantly breaking off twigs and sticks from plants and shrubs outside.

He's already done a load of damage, and it's hard to catch him in the act. How can I stop him from this bad behavior?

Never heard of a dog breaking sticks of shrubs before, unless they were in a heavily shrubbed area that they were walking through. Could be the particular plant he likes chewing on. Try substituting a better chew toy for him.

You should put a fence up or remove the shrubs if possible. If the dog is chewing them, it can be as bad as giving him chicken bones. The branches splinter and can rupture the throat, stomach etc.

pour really hot sauce all over the sticks careful not to rub your eyes while pruning
