I am a 12 year old boy only 4'7 (just got a physical last week) and weigh 70 lbs. I drink 4-7 BIG cups of 2% organic milk every day because milk is my favorite drink because I hate soda. My mom is 5'6 and my dad is 5'11 and my grandma (my mom's side) is 5'9 (pretty tall). Any ideas on why I am so short?

So next week I have a special arrangement and was wondering if their were ways to look less bloated maybe by detoxing all that sugar, basically I'm going to start to diet afterwards, but it would be great to have an extra push for my arrangement next week. Take in mind that I weight 200 or so lbs.

I am 21, 5'9" and 145 lbs. I'm not entirely happy with my weight. The healthy weight range for my height is anywhere between 130 to 160 lbs. I would like to go down to 130 to 135 lbs.

I do NOT want to diet, and I am not going to starve myself.

So will drinking green tea, water, cutting back on sugar, junk food, pop, etc and walking help me drop the pounds?

I looked up anorexia and looked at all the symptoms. And I had every single symptom. Or I could relate enormously to them. I never want to eat anything, and have been told that you dont have to be sickly skinny to be anorexic. My friends and teachers are always telling me to eat. And I really do hate how I look, and I think I'm fat. I dont know if I have a problem or not.

i think i gained like 5 pounds today from just one meal. i had 3 pieces of roast beef, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, broccoli with cheese sauce, a roll, cheese and crackers, ham, and pie with ice cream. my stomach looks like i am pregnant, its sticking out and stuffed and fat looking. but for some reason i cant stop doing this every couple days because i cant make myself stop eating once i start. i also kind of like the feeling of rubbing my round full belly. i know this is unhealthy but do other people do this?

I'm 18 years old, 5'3", female, 112 pounds. For about 3 years I dealed with eating disorders. A few months ago I decided to take a turn for the better and start living my life the way I should. The problem is, though, that I haven't been eating right and I've gained a good ten pounds. I know this is natural considering my eating disorders, but I've become very unhappy with the way I look. I know that If I don't do something about this, I'll turn back to my old ways and starve myself untill I'm happy with my weight. Instead, I'd like to get into a diet and fitness ruitine and lose some weight in a gradual way. I just joined a gym, so I plan on doing 30 min of aerobic exersize 5 times a week, and weight training 3 times a week. I want to eat healthy, about 1600 calories a day. Does anyone have an example of a diet plan for me? What I should have for breakfast lunch dinner and snacks? Keep in mind that I need alot of fiber because I ruined my intestines with laxative abuse. Thanks alot!!!

I am planning to book a session with a personal trainer to work on a new workout routine. I plan to visit the gym 3-4 times a week, maybe more if it will work better but i know you can over-train, but I am currently looking for a good diet to coincide with the new workout. Can anyone help with this? Does anyone know of anywhere on the net where I can find a sample diet that I can fit into my daily routine? Many thanks

im a 17yr old teen.ive currently been on a diet.and have dropped from 256 to currently 239 my heights 5-8 to 5-9.and today i decided to binge alittle but i went overboard and ate ALOT TODAY anyone know what i could do to make up for the few extra pounds i gained thanks.

Well i have recently lost a ton of weight(50 lbs.) and now i am abt 98ish lbs. 5 ft. 2ish 3ish but gained like 5 lbs. due to eating more bc of the season. but i was wondering should i pig out on christmas and just get rite back into healthy eating after that or wut... bc i ahve been very bad lately with eating i just feel like i cant stop...but i dont want all my weight loss to go down the drain advice?

As recomended by the manufacturer I've been taking 5 capsules of "Creatine" daily, on an empty stomach, followed by atleast 10 minutes of exercise, but haven't seen any result. Users of 'Creatine" can you please help?!

Does this look like balanced portion control?Would it look like sensible portions on a regular plate?

1 serving of starch
1 serving of lean protein(3oz.)
1 serving of fruit
Lunch:
1 serving of starch

Dinner:

Snacks:

Stairclimbing will not only bulk up (make bigger) your thighs, but your butt too?
About three weeks ago, I started stairclimbing. I have seen some results, but I dont want to bulk them up...I want to make them thinner...
Is this true?
What do you all recommend?

im 5'8, 145lbs 14yrs old
i need to lose around 20-25 pounds by jan. 7th or jan. 19. i started a diet last week and it consisted of fruits, vegetables and soups etc. then a week later i found out that fruits have alot of carbs and sugar.. so i stopped eating fruits as soon as i found out. on that diet i lost 2-3lbs in like a week and a half and thats too little, i need to lose around 3-5lbs in a week and a half i guess.

so i havent been eating any carbs, (only vegetables, soups, etc.) and i really want some fruit but its bad for me because im trying to do a low calorie-lowfat-carb diet.

i do 490-590 crunches a day, around 1,100 leg lifts and 15-20 min stretches every 2-3 hours and other small work outs that buurrn! (which is good)

i can only work out home so i clean up alot (for about an hour) and try to work a bit. i eat little, too.

so by doing all this will i lose weight by jan. 7-19?
if so HOW MUCH? <-- big question.

also, help me with the fruit thing!

Has anyone ever eaten just 900-1,000 calories a day? How long did it take you to lose weight? If I were to keep this up for about a month or longer (no alcohol, no soda, some sweets if I break down) how much weight do you think one would lose?

I'm 18 and do exercise quite regularly, though I want to maintain physical fitness particularly in the aerobic sector - i go running for a couple of miles or so every morning - but I'm guilty of smoking a few times a week no more than 5 - 10 a week, but will this have a big impact on my health? Is it possible to smoke and be healthy?

I've read the other questions about slimming down thighs, but my thighs aren't big because theyre fat. I play soccer, so i have the infamous soccer legs. Is there anyway i could slim them down. I exercise a lot, so that's not entirely the problem. Any way i can make the muscle slimmer?

I would have to vote yes. there are a tiny fraction of a percent that have health problems and are almost forced to stuff their faces and by lazy but most fat people only get medical conditions after overeating and being extremely lazy for years on end. so, are most fat people lazy?

I have 2 weeks off from school for christmas break.
During those 2 weeks, I want to lose about 10-15 pounds.
Right now i weigh 97 pounds. In 2 weeks i want to weigh around 80 pounds.

Is this possible if i watch what i eat, eat healthy, eat small portions, and do some kind of workout?

i ate like a pig today. I mean literally I can't believe I ate that much. I wanted to have a cheat day (since it's quite reasonable to have once a week they say) But the moment I "allowed" myself things I should avoid, I couldn't control at all and ate so much, half pizza with loads of dressing, half pound of chocolate, (in addition to the 1200 calories that I'm allowed to have)

What should I do?
It's night here, so I ate at night, not even in the morning or noon so that I could've given my body time to digest it.

how bad it is? what should I do? what harm will that do to me?

The chocolate was too too sweet,! Damn.
