im 5'8, 145lbs 14yrs old
i need to lose around 20-25 pounds by jan. 7th or jan. 19. i started a diet last week and it consisted of fruits, vegetables and soups etc. then a week later i found out that fruits have alot of carbs and sugar.. so i stopped eating fruits as soon as i found out. on that diet i lost 2-3lbs in like a week and a half and thats too little, i need to lose around 3-5lbs in a week and a half i guess.
so i havent been eating any carbs, (only vegetables, soups, etc.) and i really want some fruit but its bad for me because im trying to do a low calorie-lowfat-carb diet.
i do 490-590 crunches a day, around 1,100 leg lifts and 15-20 min stretches every 2-3 hours and other small work outs that buurrn! (which is good)
i can only work out home so i clean up alot (for about an hour) and try to work a bit. i eat little, too.
so by doing all this will i lose weight by jan. 7-19?
if so HOW MUCH? <-- big question.
also, help me with the fruit thing!

consuming so few calories during the beginning of the growth years (puberty) is the single worst thing a young woman can do to here body. a diet so low in calories will not allow your endocrine system to develop normally and you WILL have health problems for the lifespan.
you need to consume about 1,600 calories daily from ALL NATURAL foods.

Just remember, if you don't take in "enough" calories, you won't lose any weight. It's all about taking in a certain amount and burning it off. If you don't take enough in, your metabolism will slow down and you won't lose anything. So, you need to take in much more than 300 to 400. You should be taking in about 1,500 in a day (don't forget to include drinks). Why can't you work out outside of home (jogging, walking, etc.)? You need some cardio in your life. Try jumping rope or jogging in place or jumping jacks.

First of all, despite what you may have heard about carbs from these so called nutritionist, they are an essential part of everyones diet. You need them to lose fat. fruits and veggies have the good carbs you need. they supply energy that helps break down fat and work out. apples and nuts have allot of good carbs. So, eat plenty of carbs and do allot of cardio (run, jump rope, hike) if you want to lose fat fast. Don't eat the bad carbs like what is found in processed foods. Also eat plenty of grains like oats this helps metabolize foods faster. Make sure you poop often, like after every meal.

You
are
FOURTEEN YEARS OLD!!!!
I don't know what idiotic teen shows you've been watching, but you are on the road to serious health problems, girlie. You haven't stopped growing, so why are you starving your body of the things it needs to build a good immune system, strong bones, and more muscle mass?
Hint: a well-tuned body burns more calories STANDING STILL than someone on an ignorance diet!
Just don't eat crap like McDonald's, eat ALL THE FRUITS AND VEGGIES you like, and for f*ck's sake ENJOY your life!
Quit being a neurotic twit!

Fruit and vegetables are fine and will help you lose weight because they are mostly non-starchy carbohydrates. There are some starchy vegetables such as potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, radishes and beetroot so you could steer clear of those if you are worried about gaining weight but all fruit is fine because it is non-starchy carbohydrate with some isolated exceptions such as dates and coconuts.
Vegetable soups are fine.
The starchy carbohydrates that help to gain weight are bread, cereals, muesli, pasta, potatoes and chips.
You should go back to your fruit diet. It is low in calories and heps to fill you up and it is non-starchy carbohydrate.
