I am a 21 year old female, I am 5'7" and weigh 160 lbs. My legs are lean and in good shape, but my only problem is I do not know how to target the area between my thighs at the very top of my legs - the part where my thighs touch each other. What are good exercises to burn fat in this problem area? Or will the fat in this area shrink away with general aerobic workouts? Thanks!

Apparently the word on the street is that muscle cells wont dissappear until you starve yourself. I don't want to starve myself...but I'd like to be slim. I'm just curious how Hilary Swank gained 20 lbs in muscle for Million Dollar Baby and then got rid of that weight in a month. I'm not fat, I'm muscular and a woman. I weigh 135 and am 5'6" but have weighed between 115 and 140. Is my only option to quit excercising those muscles and cut down on my calorie intake? Just shrink those cells?

Throughout my life I have always been somewhat in conctact of elderly people. We've lived in the nice neighborhoods of the elderly *Fun Fun Fun*, I helped take care of them in an exquisite residential care facility that was a family business, I've seen alot. Mostly the good times and very little of the bad. Funny thing was that hardly any of the women were health consious. Well times are changing now, and people sure as hell are eating alot differently.

So my question is this....are you prepared for your future??? If so what do you do to help ensure you live a healthy life?

If not, what are areas that need improvement? My drawback were that I smoked and needed a little toning up, so I quit (its been 2 months now-and im done forever!) and I still need to get in shape, I would like to start taking vitamins.....

Every month or so I think about my future. I am worried about all the consequences that will come my way if I dont straighten up my act. Do any of you feel the same way

If my doctor told me not to eat bacon butties now I would think he was loopy - he never gives advice like this unless it is a real risk to health such as sugar is to diabetics. Pretty soon we will alll be living on fruit and nuts, probably they will find something wrong with veggies too, does anybody else here get blooooody fed up (as if) with these food scares in the papers every day. God almighty half the worlds population is starving what more can I say? Does anybody in the world know the perfect diet for health? Seems the experts don't know and confuse us if we were to take it all on board. Eat, drink and be merry I say !!!!!

I've been working the Body for Life workout for about 12 weeks,I see definition starting in my upper body, but I still have a lot of belly fat. Is there something else I can be doing because this is my main concern. I have been decent with my diet but do cheat from time to time, no more than two days a week though. Any suggestions?

I need to lose weight. (I'm 5'3", 175 lbs.) I started walking 6-7 days a week now. I look for places with hills for the cardio. I found a steep hill behind a college. I walk up it and all the way around, and keep going back up it. About 3 times. In addition to dieting, If I do this every day for 45 minutes to 1 hour, how long will it take to make a difference?

I heard it's better to exercise an hour after breakfast because this way your metabolism works harder during the day

Ok..I know that if they eat a ton of cake and a gallon of chocolate milkshake along with their other veggie foods, that they will suffer as much as we animal product addicts.
But on the whole... is there a veggie obesity problem as well?

I'm a 29 year old female, 135 pounds- the perfect weight for my 5'8" height. Trouble is, I'm always hungry!! I can eat an omelette at 8am (with veggies, toast and milk) and still be hungry at 10:30. I've recently switched to a large bowl of oatmeal, a large bowl or fruit covered in yogurt (not fat-free), orange juice or milk, and a cup of coffee. STILL I'm hungry by 10.
I really do want to not feel like I'm starving before it's even lunch time as it distracts me from my work!!

Any ideas on gut-filling breakfasts??

My sister and I are 1 year apart (I'm older) and we are the same height - 5'6. She weighs 130lbs and I weigh 110lbs.
She always complains about her love handles and how she needs to loose a few lbs, but then she turns around and harps on me about being too skinny. I think I'm fine. I'm healthy and I feel good about myself.
Last night she told me I looked sick, and she thinks I have a problem, which I do NOT - I just eat sensibly and excersise, which she does not do at all. So I told her that I think she is slightly overweight and she needs to work on that and loose some. She said she's normal and I am not.

What's normal? Do you think 5'6, 130 is overweight or normal?
Is 5'6, 110 overweight or normal?

I know bodybuilder's do it because it's a cheap source of protein and they drink it raw. I'm also workingout and was wondering if you can get sick from drinking egg white's raw? Is it common?

Any experiences?

some of my neighbors have hinted that i might have a problem. i am 5'8" and 133 pounds. i am only losing a couple more pounds so that i can fluctuate. i know what weight would be unhealthy for me to go down to. i eat 1400 calories on my diet, so i don't feel anorexic, but i admit i'm still not happy when i look in the mirror and i want to lose more. can you be considered anorexic if you eat 1400 calories a day, just because you are losing more weight?
