Throughout my life I have always been somewhat in conctact of elderly people. We've lived in the nice neighborhoods of the elderly *Fun Fun Fun*, I helped take care of them in an exquisite residential care facility that was a family business, I've seen alot. Mostly the good times and very little of the bad. Funny thing was that hardly any of the women were health consious. Well times are changing now, and people sure as hell are eating alot differently.

So my question is this....are you prepared for your future??? If so what do you do to help ensure you live a healthy life?

If not, what are areas that need improvement? My drawback were that I smoked and needed a little toning up, so I quit (its been 2 months now-and im done forever!) and I still need to get in shape, I would like to start taking vitamins.....

Every month or so I think about my future. I am worried about all the consequences that will come my way if I dont straighten up my act. Do any of you feel the same way

took me a long time but i do think about my future health now

stopped smoking 18 months ago , after being on them for over 30 years , was getting chest pains , and my dad died from a heart attack , so thought it was time to do something about it

as for vitamins i like to get mine naturally , i try and eat fruit at least once a day

but i still enjoy a beer and a steak , if you cut out everything you like then it makes life boring

all the best
Ian

I'm trying to think about my future as well. I want to be able to keep up with my kids when I'm a mom and I want to be able to participate in my grand kids growing up to.

Sadly, my body isn't in the shape I want it to be. I'm not saying I'm fat, which I'm not at all. But sports have really messed up my mobility. I already can't do somethings that I like to do because of aches and pains.

Lately, I've been focused on getting back into shape, and not over doing exercise like I use to do. I've also been trying to eat healthier. I think it's important not to let yourself go or ignore unhealthy signs so you can live your life to the fullest.

BTW, Kudos for quitting smoking! That's awesome!

Sexy Kitten, Yes dear I do ! I have always respected older folks. When I was 18 and on my own I quit smoking and drinking ! I began taking Shacklee vitamens and cocoa protien mix. Cut way back on red meat. Yep what goes around comes around, like my step dad used to say, straighten up and fly right ! So I do !!!

Yes, because I'm already starting to feel the effects of not eating health as a kid. Definitely start working out and taking a multivitamin. Just stay away from the cheap crap like Centrum, or anything you buy from walmart.
