Okay. It took about 30 minutes for this to get bad. I could breath without my teeth hurting a bit, then they started hurting when I breathed. I flossed my teeth, and they still hurt when I breathed. I used mouthwash also. My nose is also clogged. I have swollen glands in my throat, and I have a slight headache. What is this, and how can I cure it?

They will cover for the root canal, but not the crown. I was quoted at $900.00, which i can not afford. Does anyone know of a free dental clinic in Toronto that does this work. I know that the U of T is very booked up, and i am not sure if they do this work for free. Time is of the essence as i dont want to get an infection in the mean time. My tooth is fractured and the remaining mercury from the filling is sticking out.

On wednesday I am having either one or two of my wisdom teeth taken out. My top left wisdom tooth is really bothering me and painful so that needs to go now, so im probably going to have local anaesthesia. i cant have all 4 taken out next week b/c it takes weeks for my insurance to authorize it and i cant wait that long. but the oral surgeon might be able to take out a second wisdom tooth, but the bottom left one hasn't erupted. Its so small and deep in my gums so he'll probably have to make incisions in my gums. Im scared of having this done under local. Its going to take longer. I know i'll be so anxious and then having to be awake for a longer time. Idk im just worried something could go wrong, anasthesia might wear off during the extraction. I'd like to know about some of your experiences. What did it feel like having your wisdom teeth taken out while awake? how long did it take? Did you feel any pressure, or absolutely any pain at all?

God I can't beleive I'm asking a piercing related question here after reading some of the retarded responses about alcohol/peroxide are good and get your ears pierced at a "proffesional" at the MALL *with a gun, don't get me started* But on to what I need to know.

I've had the center of my lip pierced for some time, maybe like 6months but my concept of time sucks so I dunno. It's not technically a lip piercing, it's a labret, also called chinpiercing by those who don't know what a real pierced chin looks like *please consult bmezine.com* But the other day I noticed the gums on my front two lower teeth have receded. I know what this is because I *unlike many other piercees* do my homework before hand, but this is known as gum erosion.

Unfortuanately, I don't quite know what can be done beyond removing it *done* And I guess I'm asking should I go to the dentist or not worry too much?

Please, no retard responses.

with the NHS we get free operations/free to see a GP (etc).

but should dental be free treatment also? (ie:- if you've damaged your teeth) afterall its still general health.

I hear people say "until you die!"

My orthodontist keeps telling me "use them for a few more months" every time I go to him. Now, I feel like he's just making me take it bit by bit. I'm really fed up with using these. It's been almost 3 years. I need to see my orthodontist one of these days, and I'm fed up with having to see him once in a few months too.

I wonder if one really has to keep using retainers for life. I want only orthodontists' input on this, please.

I am in dire need of dental implants. Can anyone give me an idea of the cost involved? I will need a complete lower assembly and a partial upper assembly. Can the procedure be performed in one or two visits? Also I take Warfarin daily and have a history of blood clots.
Thanks

I talked to someone and they told me it's because I use a soft tootbrush. She told me I need to use a Hard type toothbrush does this matter? All my life I've never had so much tartar buildup in a matter of hours a day. I can feel it in my mouth. Sometimes when I swallow and a little happens to go down the throat it makes my stomach hurt. I have to do something about this seriously, this is gross! Is this a certain dental condition that I'm suffering from?
