Red Cross Toothache Medicine
It's what my oral surgeon recommended me buying when I had a horrible toothache and you can get it at any Walgreen's. The medicine numbs your tooth and the numbing lasts for 3-4 hours. It's some foul-tasting stuff but works wonders when you have a severe toothache.

omg. I have had a stupid wisdom tooth growing in for a week, and it has been hurting sooo bad.
I bought Orajel Medicated Toothache Swabs. their is medicine in a q tip looking thing, and it is easy to apply. but, of course, the numbing action only lasts for an hour or so.
I have been taking an asprin though, and that really seems to relieve the pain. then use the orajel when it is really bad.
Also, in the morning, I found that it hurt really really bad. but I figured out that if I slept kinda sitting up then the blood couldn't rush to my head, and make my mouth a throbbing ball of pain.
anyways. I hope I could help. and good luck with your ache.

Only the dentist can cure it, but a mouthful of whisky or brandy often numbs the pain for a while, there are other methods, but i'm assuming you want to stay above the law

You can lul the pain a little bit by using oil of clove or orajel but you are going to have to get to the dentist before you get a terrible infection - it's too close to your brain and you have to do something about it with prescription medications.

Rinse your mouth with about 1/4 to 1/2 spoon of red pepper.
I know it will burn a little, but the pain will go.
