What do you consider as severe teeth grinding? I do that while sleeping without knowing since I was a child. A couple years ago, I woke up with a pain on my jar. My physician said that I got jaw arthritis (or temporomandibular arthrosis, temporomandibular disorder, temporomandibular joint derangement --- I forgot what exactly I was told). I heard the sound of my teeth grinding when my sister recorded it while I was sleeping, though, it sounded so creepy! It sounded like cricket or some kind of bugs! Does my teeth grinding have to be considered as severe?

I planned to have all 4 wisdom teeth taken out at once in about 2-3 weeks, but now my top left wisdom tooth is really painful and causing great discomfort. I dont know if i can wait that long. so the recovery time is probably much longer if all 4 are taken out. I wanted to be asleep b/c i really can't stand the though of being awake while all 4 are taken out. so, if i decide to have only one taken out while awake, how long do i have to wait until the other 3 can be removed? they aren't causing me any problems. is it better to get it done all at once, rather than going in twice and having to recover twice? If im awake, how will i feel, what will i hear? im just apprehensive about staying awake and being aware of everything.

btw the reason i have to wait several weeks is b/c the oral surgeon needs authorization from my insurance first if i want more than one removed. I know someone else who can take one wisdom tooth out this weekend.

I read a horror story of a woman who got full dentures but she couldn't eat anything with her dentures because she got a gag reflex from the plastic that extends towards the back of the mouth. Is gag reflex with dentures rare? If you do get a gag reflex with dentures can it be overcome?

In the last week, I've had two dental procedures and received a total of 8 shots total of novocaine (5 yesterday). I had a sudden increased heart rate and a sense of flushing right after the last shot that lasted 10 seconds. That evening (5-10 hours later), I had horrible pains in my sternum and back and stomach felt some difficulty breathing and I threw up several hours later. I felt better after that but low energy all day today. Does novocaine do this?
