How much should a tooth extraction (upper left molar, second from the back) and bone graft cost? Also, do dentists get kick-backs from the oral surgeon if they refer you to them? Thanks!

My porcelain veneer are like 3/4 crown and the previous dentist didn't do a good job on the preparation as the surface is not flat. I want to have it replace for some other reason. Is it a hell of a job to remove porcelain veneer and replace it with new one? Will I lost my teeth or more teeth structure when they remove it?

I'm gonna see my dentist tomorrow, but I can hardly bear the pain.

Do you know any good pain-killers? Which one has the longest effect? The one I'm taking now is an over-the-counter one which only takes away the pain for less than 2 hours, and my experience is that the more I take the less effect it has.

Any natural or home remedies? I heard that clove oil only works for pain after tooth extraction (e.g. of wisdom teeth).

I already asked a question about removing all four wisdom teeth. My top left is decayed and i'm probably going to have the remaining 3 removed b/c they serve no purpose except taking up uneccesary space. But I don't know if its better to be asleep or if its ok to stay awake during the procedure. So for those of you who got all 4 removed at once, how did you feel when you woke up? could you talk, move your jaw/mouth? Was it very painful? I talked to this 18 year old girl who get hers removed at 14, and she said she was awake! Has anyone got theirs removed while awake? I'm curious to know because I don't know if I should spend $450 on the anaesthesia. If i'm awake i won't feel any pain but what will i feel when he's removing them? The dentist said it would be very uncomfortable b/c there's lots of moving around, so idk. I'm very scared b/c i've only had to go to the dentist for cleanings and fillings. Never had surgery on my teeth before so I want to know what to expect.

I dont smoke, I dont coffee alot, and I brush my teeth, but I dont know why their still yellowish. I've used whitening products, but they dont seem to help. The only time my teeth seem to be really white, is after I go to the dentist for a cleaning, and I cant always do that. People comment me on my yellowish teeth, and I try and tell them that I do brush, but they just think im nasty and dont do anything....HELP

My mum wants me to get braces and I was wondering how much do they usually cost and is it going to hurt. I believe I'll have to wear them for a long time and I don't want to be in pain forever.

I'm getting a baby tooth pulled for braces so my adult tooth can move into place. I inheirited roots from my father. Huge, long sturdy little buggers. I'm afraid that it's going to be really painful or that part of my tooth won't come out. Anyone have some experience stories to share? Do they give you numbing or pain medication?

My dentist says that i'm beginning to get gingivits. I use Listerine mouthwash and brush my teeth 2x a day but they're still getting bigger than they are supposed to be. She said that my gums needed to be stimulated? Does brushing not stimulate? Also i need an alternative to flossing because that just isn't working for me and I don't really have the time for that. suggestions?
