you have folicles and pores on your tongue just like on your skin. If you do not maintain excellent oral hygiene, you get them clogged. So, when you brush your teeth, also brush your tongue, and use an antibacterial mouthwash (listerine) after every meal, the likelihood of more bumps is then greatly decreased.

It's just a plain ole canker sore...not contagious.Canker sores are shallow, painful sores in your mouth. They are usually red or may sometimes have a white coating over them. You might get them on the inside of your lips, the insides of your cheeks, the base of your gums or under your tongue. Canker sores are different from fever blisters, which usually are on the outside of your lips or the corners of your mouth.
Anyone can get canker sores, but women people in their teens and 20s get them more often. Canker sores may run in families, but they aren't contagious. Doctors don't know what causes canker sores, but they may be triggered by stress, poor nutrition, food allergies and menstrual periods.
My grandma used to say it came from lying.

it could either be a mouth sore, like you bit or burned your tongue. or it could be a sexually transmitted disease. it could be herpes or gonorhea. well, if it is herpes, its not curable. you can get the sores removed but they will always come back, they are always in your system. gonorhea can be cured i think, so if you get any more or if they go away and keep reappearing, you could have an STD and you should go to the doctor
