I live in Atlanta GA and my teeth have a 1 inch GAP in the front. My bottom teeth are pretty much ok. I just want to close the top gap. Does anyone have an idea of the average cost treatment can be broken down in monthly payments? I am 23 yrs old with no dental insurance but do have a job.

First of all, if you really have a 1 inch gap in your front teeth, Invisalign might not be able to help you. That's a REALLY big gap.

Many dental offices will do in-house financing for orthodontic treatment because - unlike restorative work - you're not done in one visit. They are pretty sure you'll pay because you have to keep coming back until treatment is complete. If the payments stop, so does treatment.

Standard contract (and it IS a contract) is 25% to 30% down payment and the balance divided over the number of months in treatment. Balance must be paid in full before treatment is finished.

I currently have braces, I am 28. I thought I might be able to just use those but they told me they are used for people that slacked off about using their retainer but still have pretty sraight teeth. Basically, make sure it really is just a little bit of adjustment, they are case specific. My braces cost 5k, I pay about 200 a month but they have programs set up thru credit companies if you can't pay out of pocket.

They'll probably put you on an 18 month program, with hopefully no interest. So you might end up paying around $167 to $277 a month depending on how much they ask you (or if they even ask you) to have as a down payment.

Check and see if your dentist has Care Credit. It is sometimes a no interest plan. Otherwise, you may want to opt for braces as they might be less expensive. Call around to different Dental offices for prices. I have invisalign and mine were $1800
