I don't think you can take them off yourself without messing up your teath in some way.

I don't understand why they wouldn't take them off. Maybe your teath aren't done straitening out. But if you really want them off I think you could make them take them off even if it's before they are supposed to come off. Or you could sue them if they don't .

You made a committment when you began treatment. The doctor has time and materials invested in your case, which he/she started in good faith.

To take off appliances without completing the treatment leaves the dentist exposed to all sorts of liability issues. No wonder they don't want to do it. (And the dentist is deffinitely not a "retard" as someone said above!!)

Did you mean "can't afford" or "can afford" the rest of your treatment?? Did something change in your finacial situation recently?

You may have to pay a penalty to have the appliances removed. It's only fair to the practice because you're backing out of something you said you'd finish. They were counting on being paid for thier efforts and also don't want you to have bad teeth from something they began.

be carefull, ur teeth will be relaps. ask your dentist, wether you can use the removable one or not, it's cheaper. you can't take your braces off before it's time because the teeth will not be stable (due to the regenerative and degenerative of the alveolar bone) so that your treatment can be useless.

Uh, you need to find someone to take them off if you can't afford to maintain the whole process. Keeping them on w/out supervision could hurt your teeth worst.

Even if you have to charge it -- get them off.
