Absolutely. If u have bleeding and "loose" gums, that is one of the first signs of gum disease. A professional cleaning by a hygienist or dentist, oral hygiene instruction, followed by regular and good home care, can tighten up your gums and improve any bad breath.
Good luck

Good oral hygeine includes flossing regulary, 3-4 times a week. This will "tighten up" your gums and the periodontal ligaments beneath your gums. Even if you brush regularly, you risk the chance of developing gingivitis and periodontal disease by not flossing regularly. A person that develops periodontal disease has a higher risk of loosing their teeth than someone who has cavities. Once your gums recede, you can't make them grow back so your teeth start to get loose until they eventually fall out.
