Yowza.

If it hurts, make sure that you are "packed" right because dry socket is excruciating. They should check your incision sites to make sure they are clotted and not exposed to air.

Try making smoothies if you have a blender. The barcardi frozen stuff would work well and you can add other fruits to them.

My other favorite comfort food was cream of tomato soup.

You might also want to try some ice packs to your jaw (or heat if that works for you.).

The part I hated the worst was my father coming in every 30 to 45 minutes to wake me up. I looked so pale he thought I was dying.

Wish you the best,

cez

Sorry, no tips on the food. but if you have serious pain in a couple days I'd go to the dentist right away. I had four of my wisdom teeth out earlier this year..one at a time. The last one I lost the clot in the hole..so it didn't grow over. It's called dry socket. Very painful complication. Severe pain that 600 or 800 mg of ibuprofen could fix...i'd have slight relief for about an hour, then i'd cry for another five hours til i could take more.
Be careful if it's super painful and go for help right away.
Good luck with this.

Have you tried making fruit smoothies? you can eat pudding. mashed potatoes (well mashed!). applesauce. ice cream. these are all things I ate. if the hot food is too hot wait for eat to cool. and you can warm up the cold foods a little. that's if the temp of foods bothers you as well.

Spaghettios are pretty tasty and mushy :D Pudding, thin soups (like tomato), and water

I had all my wisdom teeth cut out a year or so ago so I know your pain... Just take the happy pills and you'll be allright in a couple more days.

you should be able to eat soup, cream of mushroom, cream of chicken, potato soup. Make with milk if you like, it would be more filling. Try pudding or even Insure, a supplement for anyone not getting all their vitamins.

You could try blending food and eating it through a straw, unfortunately though when I had my tonsils out I was very limited as to what I could eat and you are going to go through this for about a week. Just be strong and you'll get through it, if you were given pain meds, try timing it and take them a half hour before you eat

Pasta....wow, you're unlucky. I had mine removed (all four) a month ago. They didn't hurt a bit. They didn't bleed nor did I have stitches. I didn't even have dry sockets. I had a great doc who did it though. He was also an MD. I never understood why people were preparing me by telling me how much it hurts to get your wisdom teeth removed. I still don't understand.

Use a baby spoon for whatever you eat, you will not have to open your mouth as wide. Anything that is soft, and supplemental drinks. Even baby fruits are good.
