I don't think about dying or killing myself. I try to get joy out of my life where I can.

But in all honesty, if I had a magic pill at home that I could take before bed that would put me into a gentle sleep and I would never wake up again, I would probably take it.

It's not that my life is bad, it's just not really that good. I have no family, very few friends, a crummy job, I do have a master's degree and solid work experience, but because of my lack of interest in life, I have never excelled to the level I should have.

I do take antidepressant medication. But it only works to a certain degree. I understand life is short and why not enjoy as much as possible. But instead of ever going anywhere, I stay in my house and eat and watch tv.

I can't even daydream or envision what I want my life to really be like. Am I just bein weak?

If someone has pid, will the symptoms ease up without any treatment for it? I know it will not go away without treatment I'm not stupid I'm asking if the symptoms will go away. I am waiting on results from my doc due to lower abdominal pain and my pain has since went away on its own. I would like to know if this would most likely not be pid then? I have no idea what was causing the pain but it was brought on by sex. Please those who have had or know about pid only answer please.

Serious answers only please.
I'm going to be 25 soon and I'm still completley dependent on my mother. When I was growing up my father was never around for me, and my siblings were way older than I am. i was also homeschooled most of my life, so it's like my mother was the only "secure" thing in my life. I knew she'd always be there for me, but I havent been able to get over that. I still rely on her for alot of things and I know that I'd be completely lost if anything ever happened to her. (when she's gone for a long time and Im not sure where she is, I start to worry that something happened, I know I wouldnt be able to cope without her) It's getting pathetic. I mean I know theres nothing wrong with loving your mom but I need to figure out how to become an independent woman. What can I do to stop feeling so dependent on her? Even growing up I couldnt spend the night at friends houses because I worried that something would happen to her while I was gone. Why am I like this?

I had what I would consider "mild pain" or an "uncomfortable" feeling in my private area until I urinated this morning. I noticed something dark come out, so I fished it out of the toilet (with the brush) and closely examined it. It looks exactly like photos of a kidney stone seen in Yahoo Image Search.

Could it be possible I had a stone and didn't know it?

What else could it be?

I can't really afford a doctor, so please don't respond with "See a doctor moron!"

Hi guys. I am really pissed cause my eye doctor is trying to pull a trick on me. I got my eye exam like 13 months ago for contacts, but he did not give me any prescription, even though he is required by law!!! Now I want to get some more on-line, so I called him for the prescription. He told me that I have to get examined again because it has been more than a year, and he wont give me the old ones cause it's expired. Can he do that? What can I do about this? My old lens prescription works fine. All I need is few more boxes!!!

When i tell my doctor about the headaches and anxiety he gives me meds that work for a couple weeks then they stop working. he has me on elavil for depression, but he acts like depression is my only problem and that makes me feel crazy. i cant even go into a store without going into some weird panic. i have no insurance and cant work right now so i feel like maybe if i had money he would take me more seriously.im scared all the time that i might go into panic mode so i dont really go anywhere anymore. i cant live my life with this fear hanging over me but i dont know what to do.

I had to see a neurologist a few weeks ago because of problems I was having in my arms, legs, feet, hands and left eye. He did a thorough neurological exam and said, "You don't have m.s., but I did notice some swelling around the optic disk- I think you have papilledema." So, he wants me to see an opthamologist, but I have astigmatism and I may need new contacts, so I think that might be my actual problem with my vision. Anyway, I need to know if when I look at objects and I blink or quickly look at the wall, the outline of the object seems to "jump" on to the wall. Is that from papilledema, or from astigmatism?

I've been trying to look this up forever online but I CAN'T find it anywhere: I'm looking for some place that says what is considered mild/moderate/severe epilepsy based on the number and frequency of seizures. I have found nothing to the sort and it's kind of annoying me. Can anyone provide me with a link and/or the information itself (as long as you give a source for the info)?

In case you're confused, I'm looking for something like: 2-3 seizures per year is considered _____ ...

I herniated a disc in my back about five years ago. Sometimes, when my back is "out", I literally can't walk, and I'm in the most excruciating pain of my life. On a good day, I get constant reminders that my back is weak, but I can walk fine.

I really want to get back to where I was. I want to be able to wrestle and rough-house with my children. I want to be able to ski without being terrified that I'll fall and throw my back out. I want to be able to sit in the car for longer than an hour without wondering whether I'll be able to get out of the car. I want to start mountain biking again. I want my thoughts to not have to be centered around my back. I want my active life back.

So, will surgery "cure" me, or will I STILL have a weak back, and STILL feel like I'm going to throw my back out, and STILL have to think about my back and what I am and am not doing for it every hour of the day?
