I LOVE beer so much,and its easy eating no carbs, but will beer hurt my diet?

While there are some that are lower carbs than others you should refrain from drinking it in the first 2 weeks on the low carb diet. You are restricted to 20 carbs a day in the first 2 weeks. Check the lables on the alcohol-free beers.

Most beers have a lot of carbs. Plus beer has a lot of calories. Alcohol has 7 cal /g versus 4 calories/g for Carbs and protein , Fat has 9 calories/g

I would stay away from it since your triglyceride levels will be very high if you drink way too much of it. But if you cannot stay away from alcohol, then stick to Miller Light, Bud Light, etc. Any beer that is light with less calories should be fine. Still, do not exceed 1 beer or any kind of alcoholic drink a day if you are a woman. A man shouldn't exceed 2 alcoholic drinks per day. Drinking has been proven in studies to be linked to breast cancer in women. Good luck to you!

michealob ultra...i think its like 1 carb...my dad drinked it when he was on atkins, and he still lost weight
