Agree with sparkles, crushed ice in abag sit with the bag right on the area and leave for a least an hour the pile will shrink, conyinue to do this periodically for a few days.

Oh my, I have had abscessed hemorrhoids three times, had surgery twice. From then on, to this day, I take stool softeners every night. I also eat lots of fiber. If I feel an attack coming on, I use creme with cortisone for the outside ones, and suppositories for the inside. Use both if you have to. Do not strain, that is what causes them in the first place.

try to eat more fibre in your diet, constipation is closely linked to piles. You can try just poking them back inside if they have come out, but that is not going to help with the swelling. You can get lots of creams/sprays to use.

No chance me duck! i know it hurts like hell, and you dont know wether to sit down, stand up or lie down. you need to either see the nurse/doc or get yourself to the chemist and get some ointment. but do it soon, cos the longer you leave it, the more painfull its gonna be when you go for a number 2. Oh, and eat plenty of fiber to keep things mooving smoothly. good luck. x.

Coat them with petrolium jelly and lie on your back with your feet flat on the floor. This helps relieve the pressure.

Works for me anyway.

If you drink alcohol, lay off of it.

Piles can be a sympton of liver problems caused by booze.

Don`t know where you are, but in UK we have a cream called Anusol, it does help. Hop you can get some.

try filling the fingers of a rubber glove with water and freeze them, then you've got a finger shaped ice cube that you can..........stick.........em........ use in that area to help reduce the inflammation
