Around Christmas I caught a horrible stomach bug which gave me diorreah. Ever since I have been having terrible stomach pains and always need to go to the toilet. I am sometimes constopated but i mostly get bad stomachs. It often occurs in the morning and disrupts my whole day. I have seen a doctor who told me to change my diet which I have but it seems to be getting worse. I am only a teenager and it is disrupting my life. Family have told me it may be a food allergy or IBS. Does anyone have similar problems and how do you deal with them?

Could I have ADD? I get distracted easily with doing home work or tests. Think about other stuff. I procrastinate a lot. I take forever to do stuff, like class work. I'm really disorganized, lose a lot of stuff like money and keys. Had problems since 3rd grade.

This will sound wierd but... When most women would get PMS I get something else. Every month, a week before I start my period I begin obsessivly cleaning my house, my car, and when I finished with that I'll clean my sisters house. I will go on for nearly twenty hours, not eating, not resting and barely sleeping. It will go on until I get my period. Then I go back to normal, until next month. My doctor put me on antidepressants, but that only made it worse. The symptoms would last for the entire month. Nothing is helping and I'm driving my husband nuts! Everytime he goes to get something, I've reorganized and it's someplace else. If anyone knows what this is or knows how to help, I would really appreciate it. So would my husband:)

Breakfast- Smoothie (2 cups water, 1 cup frozen fruit-mango-melon, 4 baby carrots)
Lunch- 1/2 tuna sandwhich (only 70 cals all together, bread is 35 cal per slice and tuna was 35 cal) 6 baby carrots
2 glasses of water
1 bottle of water mixed with a crystal light packet

I havn't had dinner yet... its only 2 o'clock here.

I had a bladder infection 2 and a half weeks ago that was treated with a five day course of antibiotics. I went back today because of pain in the upper back and bladder area. This I was told that there was no bacteria, but blood in the urine. The urine sample was sent to be cultured to see if it would grow bacteria not seen in the office test. If nothing grows then what could it mean. I did have a hys. 18 months ago and there after, that's when the bladder infection thing began.

It's been this way since I was little, and the funny thing is that I am very outgoing, when I read out loud, I fear it so much that I stutter and loose air...I feel like dying...I don't think this is normal...lack of confidence? Maybe...but I am a college student...and people all around do not have problems like this.

I am 5'3, 120 lbs. My clothes are all size 0 or 2, x small or small. I feel like I am really fat. I have a history of disordered eating... I feel those tendencies coming back. I eat very healthily and exercise everyday. I don't know what to do because I am very hung up on the numbers... I even started running marathons about a year and a half ago to try and make myself feel better but the weight hasn't gone down. Do I need to lose weight?! I wish I could just be happy with the size of my clothes.

I have had derpression and Aniexty for many years,
I have tryed many things ( Hpynothearpy, loads of Thearpy, seen many thearpist, CBT, many differnt kinds of anti derpressents, self help books )
But nothing seems to work.
and i am searching all the time for meaning and purpose, and finding faith,

what do you think could help me?

My brother-in-law has a kidney stone 9mm in diameter. The doctor said that it is in a location where they can't break it up into smaller pieces and he has to pass the stone the natural way. Has anyone in here passed a stone that size before and how painful is it really? What can you take for pain? Is Vicodin effective in helping with the pain when passing the stone? Advice please!

My daughter ( 50 ) was told that she would never be able to get prescrition glasses made because she has had Keratinitis of the eyes twice. What is Keratinitis ?????? Has anyone ever heard of this?????? It sounds like an infection--is it? She was doing " drugs " much of her life-could this condition be caused by that? she has been clean for two years now but it left her with advanced aging and much damage to her teeth .

For sufferers of ovarian cancers and physicians/oncologists :

Why are not all ovarian tumors tested for presence of the estrogen and progesterone receptors (ER and PR) ? Or are they (please tell where you are from) ?

It seems like total aberration to me not to test, since women with ovarian cancer are almost systematically put on hormone replacement therapy (premarin) after total hysterectomy ! My best friend, who has ovarian cancer, insisted to have this test done at my suggestion, and guess what : her tumor was positive for both !!! By chance, she wasn't taking the prescribed premarin...
