What is it about chocolate that is so attractive to ladies? Its a serious question honestly. Most men can take it or leave it, but ladies appear to need it. Why is that?

No offence, but I was sort of looking for more of a scientific answer than "its delicious". There must be something!?

I personally don't really like it too much, a square or 2 of dark choc does me as I get headaches if I eat too much. (and still overweight!!!)
But maybe its the guilty pleasure of it that others enjoy, I don't know from what mad age we are told we have to diet from to be this ideal or that, so to eat something that everyone tells you is so bad for you, which is truly delicious, means that when it is eaten its truely enjoyed.
I also heard it releases some chemical in the brain that increases the feeling of pleasure in our bodies.

When I was younger 11-15yrs. old I used to love chocolate and I loved when my boyfriend would buy me some. I gradually stopped enjoying it or needing it that much. I guess it's because chocolate gives you the feeling of being in love. There scientific experiments for that.... and some people get over it and some will love it forever.

Chocolate is a psychoactive food and many times considered a comfort food. Woman sometimes crave chocolate close to their menstrual cycle because of its richness in magnesium. Its also a time where progesterone is highest, which seems to promote the cravings of fatty and sugery foods. Its also an aphrodesiac and many women prefer chocolate to sex.

I've heard that Chocolate releases the same chemicals in the brain as those released when you are in love.... And we love it right back !

when we eat chocolate it triggers endorphines to be released ,the bodies endogenous opiates , from the brain and that is what happens also during sex !! Give me a galaxy any day lol ..

Apparently women prefer to eat fat with carbs (as is found in chocolate - fat and sugar) whereas men prefer their fat with protein (as in meat/steaks) - I don't know if it's true but read it in a health magazine!!!

I prefer my a bag of Salt and Vinegar with a slice of cheese, washed down with a nice red myself;)

it has some chemical i cant pronounce or remember rightnow in it.it connects to felling in love or something.personally i dont crave it all the time.but i do enjoy it every once in a while.but its always nice as a gift.lol.

chocolates are aphrodisiac. it really turn women on. there is something in the chocolate that makes us wanting more of it.
