Especially if written by a woman. I don’t mean to be offensive but I just read an article in Newsweek about male depression and the woman's writing lacked any sensitivity to the issue. Maybe women are trying to manipulate men into seeking healthcare. Stating men should "own up" to their psychological problems, that way making it “manly” to seek help. Why do women think it’s necessary to always play games with mens' minds? When you read an article about female depression they are made out as victims of a disease, male sufferers of depression are made out as a nuisance. That’s why they don’t seek help. This approach is irresponsible in my opinion. It almost seemed the author, Julie Scelfo, was irritated that she received this assignment. Compassion is the key to good medical treatment isn’t it? Do men not deserve compassion when they are sick? Hope this wasnt too much? Thanks for your comments...
