You know I didn't used to think so but now I'm a diabetic I've learned that a lot of fruit have natual sugars and it's what your body can process what won't add weight. I've been on a low carb and walk a mile diet and have lost 79 pounds in about 9 months. Amazingly even bread, when mixed with saliva turns to sugar...I miss bread

Hi Chris,
In a word, yes. If you consume more calories than you burn, you can gain weight--no matter WHAT that food is. Moderation is the key here. Fruit is wonderful for your body, but any food can cause weight gain if overdone.

Depends on your body type and how your metabolism works. Simply said...yes. Fruit will turn into sugar, which can slow your metabolism further, thus causing your body to store more foods as fat.

In theory yes, in practice, you would probably spend too much time sitting on the toilet. Though I have heard of people actually gaining weight by overindulging on fruit, so I suppose you might, it depends on how your body reacts to it.
