hey, i smoke about 5-10 cigarettes a day, lift and run. Does smoking affect how big you get at the gym? I KNOW, smoking cigarettes is bad. I want to know if it will hurt my muscle growth, etc. or affect it at all. thank you!

I have spent all of my adult life with alcohol. I have a serious problem. I just want to know what one does for fun in sobriety? Please dont say go to meetings. I am asking what a person does with their free time away from their job? I am single, straight male and have no children. Any direction would be appreciated. Thank You!

Dumb question? Maybe. I had braces put on the bottom front row of teeth when I was visiting some relatives in another country--much cheaper than in the US. I had planned to go back for another visit, but now I can't. I've called around my area asking dentists what they would charge. They want about $600 just to take them off!

I have been on Yasmin for 7 months now and have had serious breathing issue (heavy chest) and severe mood swings (border depression). Can this be caused by the pill? I am taking it for my skin, which has gone much better but I dont know if its worth continuing!

What is the best way to lose weight?
I love to eat the chocolate and my husband and his mother love to buy it for me that's hard for me to control myself when i saw all of chocolate in the refrigerator.I can feel that my body getting fat and my husband never stop buying a chocolate because it makes him happy and his mother has a new hobby to buy a chocolate for me.

My personal instructor told me that I should lose 9 pounds of fat and gain muscle. I'm 5'3 and 106 pounds, and I had anorexia last year and I'm still trying to recover, but he wants me to be 110 pounds. It scares the hell out of me because I feel like I'm going back to my old anorexic ways. My lowest weight was 98 and my highest was 110. And my personal trainer wanting me to gain weight to the point of the weight i started dieting before makes me really scared.

I'm supposed to do weight training/whole body workout 3 times a week with some cardio. I want to lose inches in my stomach, my arms and my thighs. But him wanting me to be 110 pounds makes me scared because I'm scared I'll look bulky.

So I'm asking to whoever is reading this right now if it's possible to look thinner and lose inches while gaining weight? I want to lose sizes and inches and look thinner, but my personal instructor wants me to gain weight. What do you think? I'm becoming a bit hesitant already.

from the anesthetic, I feel better in my body already. The doctor said he found nothing untoward. I feel much better than I did before. Is this mind over matter, or did the procedure involve removing anything that was there? I was too groggy to ask him questions, and in any case he was dealing with another patient, before I was feeling less groggy.

I've been to the doctors this morning, and she diagosed tonsilitus. However, she refused me anti-biotics as I wasn't dying on the floor. My throat is extremely sore and covered in white lumps, which the doctor called 'tonsilitus puss sacks'. I've tried gargling TCP, paracetamol and even picking at my throat....but they won't go away. Doctor claimed they'll vanish within a month. LOL. Any advice please?

I have these bumps on the back of my tongue that I think have always been there but have DEFINETELY gotten bigger and swollen since yesterday. It feels like something is caught on my tongue. They don't hurt.. really more just annoying than anything because I can feel them everytime I swallow. I'm not sure if this makes a difference but for three days now I have had major nasal congestion.. taking decongestants, nasal saline spray, a whole lot of cough drops, and have been forcefully blowing my nose to try and remove the mucus (unsuccessfully I might add)
