It is harder to burn calories as we get older because or metabolism slows down.
Extend your walking, or do the same distance or time at more intensity.
Do any routine or cardio exercise you like, you do not have to stick to walking if you do not want to. But if walking is fun, convenient and has worked for you, keep walking and do some of what I mention before.
Also you could alternate and so some joggingg in your walking routine. Walk, then jog for a few minutes, return to a good walk till you recuperate, and back to a few minutes of joggin, and back to a good walk to recuperate, and so on.
Whatever keeps your heart beat up and calories burning is alright. This will make your metabolism speed up.
Good luck!

I personally think that as you get older the body slows down. Try keeping a food diary to see what you are actually eating over the course of a day. You might be surprised to find that you are consuming more than you thought. Have you thought about going to the gym for some more strenuous exercise. I don't really know why I suggested the Gym, I went once and was bored stiff.
According to the TV programme 'The truth about food' what people say about your metabolic rate is a myth
Good luck

10 years ago the food wasn't genetically altered how it is now. Diet and exercise isn't going to work by itself. Try a colon cleanser, too. That will help cleanse your body of that packed up waste you've been carrying since 10 years ago. Also you may need to up the things you're doing for exercise. Walking isn't enough. Cardio, Calisthetics, & Floor exercises need to be combined with weight lifting to help the fat burn away faster.
Good Luck!

I'd put money on it being because you are 10 years older. The older we get, the harder it is to shed those excess pounds. You're just going to have to up the exercise or further cut the calorie intake to get the same results you got when you were younger. Or, for the best results, do both.
Good luck!

You'r right 10 years ago everything about your body was different. Now I would suggest still healthy eating and 30 minutes brisk walking daily, it'll take time to change your routine - don't rush into it, just be healthy.
If you like swimming it's good excercise.

I think it does get harder to lose or keep off weight as you get older as your body is slowly starting to get weaker. I would recommend increasing you walking distance and even try speed-walking. Dont run though as I have heard walking is better!! You already eat helthily so maybe try vitamin and mineral supplements.

I think your metabolism does slow with age so you probably need to walk a little further!
But exercise and a sensible balanced diet are still the best methods of sustainable weight loss, whatever all the diet fad fascists say.

coz u r 10yrs older now so your metabolism has slowed down. also maybe coz you are older you are unable to walk at the same pace u did 10yrs ago. what u need to do is not necessarily increase distance but increase you pace so your heart rate can pick up. once you are comfortable at your increased pace, increase your distance too.

your metabolism is changing, but most importantly, you need to change your routine. your body has in a sense for lack of better term become immune to the same routine. when you go to a gym, trainers always tell you that you need to change things up.
