Some people say most medical drugs and treatments do not really cure diseases. If they did the FDA will run out of business. Kevin might be doing something similar. What do you think?

i currently have mono and i'm not on any medication or anything but for the past five days i've had extremely bad sinus pains in my teeth and when i cough, becaue of mono, the pain shoots up the nose/cheek area. i've tried advil, tyenol, tyenol cold, tyenol sinus, sinutab and none of them are working! it's soooo painful and i can't sleep and it's hard to eat. my mom said it looks like i've been losing a lot of weight... is there anything that will help the pain?!

My husband is having a vasectomy tomorrow and is a little nervous about it. He is having the incision free technique...does that also mean pain free? We made the appt. for a Friday with the hope that he an return to work on Monday? Anyone else have the incision from vasectomy? How long until you got back to work?

I had never had ear problems until last year. I have seen 2 specialists and they told me it was "swimmers' ear". I don't swim and they reccomended I wear ear plugs while showering. I did this and it didn't help.
It constantly feels wet and itchy in there. Sometimes it swells, sometimes it is painful, sometimes it drains a fluid, sometimes it bleeds. There is constant ringing. It's driving me mad.
I've paid hundreds of dollars for drops to put in there. I've put alcohol in there. I've put paroxide in there. These things help, but if I stop, it comes right back.
A co-worker mentioned that I may be allergic to my pillow. I bought a new hypo-allergenic one, but nothing changed. I haven't changed my soap or shampoo or hairspray in years, so it's not that either.
I'm willing to try anything. Any suggestions?

Actually, im pretty sure that my pg is going to switch me to the mini-pill since i didn't get along quite well with the combined pill.. Does anyone here know the possible side effects and other facts about the mini-pill? I am undergoing to the worrying bit again of taking a new pill as i am afraid to gain weight and get severe acne. My boyfriend and i are still using condoms and will still continously use it untiol i decided to conceive..Any relevant facts will help. Thank you so much.

This happens mostly when spring comes, but sometimes in autumn too. I wake up, then I get very hot and sweaty for 20-30 minutes. It's been happening for 3-4 years, and it's not menopause. Asked one dr. and no answer was forthcoming, and I figure it's not important, just annoying.

my frnd(28 yrs) is suffring frm dipression fr the last 10 yrs it ist comes to noticed whn he is trying hard fr his entrance exam nd his unusual behaviour like not talking feeling guilty nd feeling sucide before 10 years he was just a living person...but since dn he is continious got deprrsd his depression is temporay but he got deprssd every year fr 3 months after dat taking some pills he is normal again but nxt year feel dprssd again .....one of his realtive is also suffring frm dis but his realtive is now in permanent depression.....(is dat genetic)........but his depression is temporary nd mostly took place in the month of july to sept every year nd aftr dat he is normal..again.his dreams are always high bcoz he was very brilliant student b4......i also herd abt atypical depression...i wanna know how to interact wiv him.....as if anyone wanna talk he feel angry ...pls help

ok so heres the story. my gf get the worst cramps so bad that she cant lay down or just crys. today i went over to her house( she has her period) she answered the door , didnt say a word and went right back downstairs on the couch and layed with the hot water bottle. i came downstairs took the waterbottle off of her, sat her up and layed her so her head was on my chest and legs were over my legs..i put the water bottle back on her stomach and comforted her to try to get her to go to sleep.
is there anything else i could do for her? i hear that if you sit her in the upright position it makes the cramps less painfull.is that true?....she takes midol but i dont think it is helping her...please give your advice.

can anyone tell me the difference between them I have been on several websites and one will say it is a narcotic and the other will say it is a non-narcotic but they both have opiates in them so what is the difference? my doc gave them to me and he gave me percocet for in between for severe pain thanks for the help

When i'm struggling to breath through my nose i hold my nose with my fingers and blow and then my right ear always pops and if i blow hard enough my nose opens up for a second and i can breath through it,i've had this problem for years and its very distressing,i've even been to the hospital and seen an expert in this field but he does'nt understand what its like having this problem,i really need help and i'm kinda hoping someone who knows see's this question,sometimes i think i need to get my nose drilled to open up my right nostril but i don't know!
